The best h4 auto lamps with white light. Which H4 halogen lamps to choose

Test car lamps with increased light output in the H4 base. Of the numbers on the packages indicating an increase in light, “+30%” is almost the most modest. And so “+60%”, “+90%”, and some promise “+100%” of light! Fantasy depicts a road flooded with bright light in the middle of midnight darkness... To find out which lamps are better, the editorial staff of the AvtoDela magazine bought 12 sets of headlight lamps with increased luminous efficiency from Moscow auto stores and contacted the laboratory of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Research and Experimental Institute of Automotive Automotive electronics and electrical equipment" (NIIAEA) to conduct a test according to the methodology established by UNECE rules No. 37-03 and UNECE No. 112-00. The headlight with a lamp installed in it was placed in a dark room, where the required GOST was installed at a distance of 25 m from the source cut-off line. The operator measured the illumination at control points and compared it with the requirements of the rules. The points at which measurements are taken are designated as follows: 0-0 - a point characterizing the light of the vehicle ahead through the rear-view mirror; B50L - point characterizing the blinding of the driver of an oncoming car; 75R and 50R are points characterizing the lighting of the right side. Koito VWhite – H4 headlight lamp, test Koito Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1915, when it released its first invention, used for signal lamps on railways, which improved the visibility of the tracks, which made it possible to increase the safety of transportation of both passengers and cargo. This marked the beginning of the development of the Koito Corporation, specializing in the production of lighting products for various types transport. Now one of the main activities of Koito is the production of automobile lamps and lighting systems. Today Koito supplies all the largest Japanese automobile factories and is highly appreciated for its scientific research and developments. Successful testing of the company's products in the Paris-Dakar rally and other off-road competitions gives the company the basis to be called a leading manufacturer of automotive lamps and lighting systems. DESIGN FEATURES In addition to the standard ones, the Koito product range includes lamps with increased luminous efficiency, which includes the Koito VWhite H4 model. According to the manufacturer, VWHITE series high temperature lamps provide twice the brightness while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. This is achieved due to the fact that the glow temperature of the lamp filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten filament from burning out, the concentration of inert gas in the flask is increased. At the same time, it is pumped into the lamp bulb under pressure twice as high as that in a standard lamp. The lamp bulb has a blue tint, is made of quartz glass - more refractory than usual, and filters the ultraviolet part of radiation, due to which Koito VWhite H4 lamps are absolutely safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. Also, since the electric power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), the lamp also does not emit excess heat - no more than a standard one. Due to such technical innovations Colorful temperature The light is increased to 3700K, which improves the driver’s color perception. Llamas are sold in pairs in transparent plastic packaging with a red label written in Japanese characters. We would like to immediately warn readers that they should not be afraid of the declared power value of 100/90 W: with these figures the manufacturer is trying to emphasize the increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so you can safely install them in a car. TEST RESULTS Measurement of electrical power consumption at a test voltage of 13.2 V showed that the lamp is fully within the parameters stated by European regulations, and the Koito VWhite H4 lamp is completely safe for car wiring . In this case, the luminous flux of the filament (both for the near and for high beam) completely fits into the range established by GOST, and is 1500 lm for high beam and 930 lm for low beam. At the cut-off line, the Koito VWhite H4 lamp demonstrated good geometry, forming the correct beam. The light from headlights with installed Koito VWhite lamps will not dazzle oncoming drivers, since the illumination at the control point at a value of 44 lm is within the limits established for serial products. Measurements of the illumination value at the 0-0 point showed that the lamp meets the requirements of GOST and will not blind the driver in front: with a lighting requirement of less than 0.7 lm, the illumination of the Koito VWhite does not exceed 0.61 lm. The Koito VWhite lamp well illuminates the near shoulder area, the illumination value of which is 15.1 lm, with the requirement for serial products being 9.6 lm, and also illuminates the area of the far side of the road quite well - 11.5 lm. SUMMARY OF ADVANTAGES Increased light output. Clear cut-off line. Protection from glare of oncoming and passing traffic. DISADVANTAGES All inscriptions on the label are in Japanese. GENERAL EVALUATION Koito VWhite headlight lamps in the H4 base showed good test results and deserve the attention of motorists. Koito WhiteBeam III – H4 headlight lamp, test DESIGN FEATURESThe Koito White Beam III model belongs to lamps with increased luminous efficiency. According to the manufacturer, high-temperature White Beam series lamps provide twice the brightness of the glow, while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. The glow temperature of the filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten filament of the lamp from burning out, the concentration and pressure (twice as much as in a standard one) of inert gas are increased in the flask. The lamp flask is blue in color, made of quartz glass - more refractory than usual, and filters the UV part of the radiation, due to which Koito White Beam III lamps are absolutely safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. The electrical power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), and therefore the lamp does not generate excess heat (no more than standard lamps). Due to such technical innovations, the color temperature of the light is increased to 4200K, which improves the driver’s color perception. Llamas are sold in pairs in transparent plastic packaging with a white label written in Japanese characters. According to the manufacturer, “loud” numbers “135/125 W” mean increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so they can be installed in a car without fear. MTF Light Titanium – H4 headlight lamp, test MTF lamps are manufactured by the Korean company Jenn Feng, whose main activity is the production and sale of lighting equipment, including high-intensity gas-discharge (xenon) and floodlight lamps used in automotive and floodlight systems, electronic equipment and communication systems. DESIGN FEATURES MTF Light Titanium headlight lamps in the base H4 are sold in pairs in plastic packaging with a Russian-language label. The bulb of the lamp is blue. According to the website, this is a double interference coating. The manufacturer claims that the lamp is 450 lm brighter and that the color temperature of the lamp is 4400K. It is also indicated that the lamps are made of special glass that absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation(marked UVSTOP). Safe for plastic headlights. TEST RESULTS Measurement of the electrical power consumption of MTF Light Titanium did not show that the lamp exceeded the permissible parameters. The luminous flux of the low beam and high beam filaments of the MTF Light Titanium lamp is lower than the standardized values for the low beam filament by 36%, and for the high beam filament by 36%. 40%. The measured values were 640 lm and 1000 lm, respectively. With such luminous flux values, it was difficult to expect anything good from the lamp, but we still installed it in the headlight - and were shocked! The cut-off line formed by the headlight with the MTF Light Titanium lamp installed in it was so distorted that it simply did not meet any safety requirements. It feels like they put a headlight on the stand for a right-hand drive car!.. To understand what had spoiled the normal headlight, the experts decided to measure the location of the filaments inside the bulb, but everything turned out to be normal. Probably, the whole point is in the proprietary two-layer interference coating. It immediately became clear that such a headlight would not shine normally, but the illumination values at the control points were still measured. For the blinding points of an oncoming driver and a driver moving in the same direction, the requirements of the rules were exceeded by 590% and 840%, respectively (point B50L -2.36 lm, point 0-0 - 5.88 lm). Surprisingly, the values for the roadside area turned out to be higher than GOST requirements: point 75R - 16.3 lm, point 50R - 16.7 lm. The conclusions of the laboratory experts are clear: the MTF Light Titanium headlight lamp does not meet the requirements of UNECE rules No. 37-03 and UNECE No. 112-00. SUMMARY ADVANTAGES Interference coating of the bulb. DISADVANTAGES The lamp does not meet the requirements of UNECE rules No. 37-03 and UNECE No. 112-00. It does not form the correct cut-off line. The label states that the lamp is 80% brighter. The distributor's website states that the MTF Light Argentum lamp has a special innovative coating and a special filament increased efficiency, which provides an increase in light by 80% and an extension of the beam by approximately 15 meters. It is also stated that the color temperature is 4000K and that the lamps are made of special glass that absorbs most of the UV radiation (UVSTOP marking). Safe for plastic headlights. TEST RESULTS Measurement of the electrical power consumption of MTF Light Argentum did not show that the lamp exceeded the permissible parameters. The luminous flux of the low beam filament was 960 lm, for the high beam filament - 1490 lm. This is slightly lower than the values recommended by GOST, but within the required limits. At the cut-off line, the MTF Light Argentum halogen lamp performed well, but not ideally: the far right area was littered, and a spot of light was visible in the central part of the beam above the designated line. Light from headlights with installed MTF Light Argentum lamps will be uncomfortable for drivers moving in the same direction ahead, since the lamp’s illumination value of 80 lm, although it meets the requirements for production samples, is only at the upper limit. The headlight will dazzle drivers of oncoming cars, since the measured values are 52% higher than the norm (0.61 lm). In terms of illuminating the roadside area in the area of point 75R, the MTF Light Argentum lamp met the criteria established by the rules, but at the lower limit. At the point of the near zone of the roadside 50R, the illumination was higher than the requirements of GOST. SUMMARY ADVANTAGES Good illumination of the near zone of the roadside. The electrical circuits of modern cars use different types lighting fixtures. For headlights, these are mainly products with H4 and H7 sockets. The first modification of lamps has a specific application, and the second (H2) is clearly outdated and, if found on sale, it is extremely rare, since it is practically out of production.

This article will explain the difference between car lamps of the fourth and seventh options, as well as which of them are better to use for low beam.

Both H4 and H7 are mostly halogen lamps. Used in all cars to organize head lighting. The flasks are made of quartz glass, which allows them to neutralize (eliminate) the effects of UV rays.

What are the design differences between H7 and H4 lamps?

  • In the design of the base.
  • In the resource. In this indicator, H7 lamps are almost 2 times superior to their 4th series counterparts.
  • By the number of filaments. The H4 modification has two, the H7 has one.
  • The seventh product option is more often used in modern cars, with free-form headlights.

It is impossible to answer the question which low beam lamps are best for cars. The selection criterion depends on many conditions, including the driver’s vision characteristics. The descriptions below of lighting fixtures for auto modifications H4 and H7 will help you make the best purchase.

All prices indicated are in Russian rubles.

Base H4

An earlier modification compared to the H7, but it is used for cars, for obvious reasons, much more often. One of them is the ability to use the lamp for both high and low beam (2 threads).

The cheapest products in this series are made in the classic version, that is, they differ in averaged parameters, which gives them versatility. These lamps are characterized by reliability, sufficient service life, and their cost is low, ranging from 510 to 980. The most famous H4 brands of this group of lighting devices are “Mtf-Light” (Longlife series), “Philips Vision”, “Osram” (Original Line ).

Lamps characterized by increased brightness. Compared to all halogen lamps for cars, they stand out due to their maximum luminous flux intensity. Estimated price – from 840 to 960. Sold under the label “Philips X-Treme” (Vision series +130%), “Osram” (Night Breaker), “Mtf-Light” (Argentum +80%).

If the lamp designation contains the symbols “+ so much%”, then this is it. For people with low vision - optimal choice. But it is worth considering that when installing such products, precise adjustment of the headlights is necessary. Not every car owner can do this on their own.

H4 with enhanced visual impact. The light is white or with a faint yellowish tint, depending on the manufacturer. You can highlight the products “Mtf-Light” (Titanium), “KOITO” (White Beam III), “Philips” (WhiteVision). Cost - from 910 to 1,015. According to experts, such H4 modifications tire the eyes much less.

Lamps with extended life. For example, products from the Philips brand Long Life series exceed this parameter by four times. For H4 “Osram” (Ultra Life), the mean time between failures is at least 2,000 hours. The price ranges from 910 to 980. Taking into account the traffic regulations requiring low beams to be turned on even during the day, these lamps are worth paying attention to.

All-weather lamps. Provide both high and low beam. They are distinguished by the creation of a flow that gives the viewing area greater contrast, which allows you to clearly see the route in fog, during heavy precipitation, and so on. These are primarily lamps “Osram” (Fog Breaker), “Mtf-Light” (Aurum), “Narva” (Contrast+). The price range is more significant - from 598 to 925.

High power lamps. Slightly more expensive - from 910 to 970. These include the representative of the Philips H4 family of the Rally series and a product under the Osram brand performed by Offroad Super Bright. It is advisable to purchase such lamps for car owners who often travel long distances. For example, those who like to travel by car. But the operation of these products also has disadvantages. First of all, an increase in the load on the on-board electrical wiring of the car.

Consequently, when installing H4 of increased power, you will have to revise the entire circuit, and possibly its partial restoration. In addition, there is one more nuance - when operating a car in urban conditions, lamps of more than 60 W are prohibited.

Among this category of devices there are also more expensive samples. Their cost can reach 2,415 rubles. We are talking about bi-xenon lamps, which in some respects are superior to halogen lamps. For example, Maxlux, MTF-Light and the cheapest lamp in this range, Sho-Me, suitable for any (even old model) car. The price of the latter is 745 rubles.

Base H7

The products are more modern, therefore, not everyone has encountered them in practice. Their conditional categorization is similar to the H4 series lamps. Therefore, it is advisable to note only certain points and list the most famous manufacturers.

Types of H7 lamps

  • Halogen. Plus – the cheapest modifications of this series. The downside is significant heating. As a result, a reduced service life compared to analogues.
  • Xenon. Plus - increased light output. Disadvantages - the need to attach a special design to the ignition unit; high price of lamps. It consists not only of the cost of the product itself, but also of additional components. In addition to the block, you will also need appropriate optics. Taking into account the total costs, installing xenon lamps will cost much more than other types of devices. Yes, and exploitation too. Increased energy consumption affects the intensity of the generator, which leads to increased fuel consumption.
  • LED. The advantages are well known - increased resource, economical power consumption from the on-board network. There is only one minus - the difficulty of adjustment when installing in a headlight. Only a professional or an experienced amateur, who is not purchasing for his car for the first time, can achieve the required parameters of the low beam beam. This is the main reason why LED samples have not yet become widespread in the automotive industry.

Intermediate output

From the point of view of expediency and practicality, the best type of low beam lamps are halogen products. And for older car models they are the only option.

Most leading manufacturers have in their assortment a complete line of lamps for various purposes. These include standard lamps, lamps with improved visual comfort, all-weather lamps, high power lamps and lamps with increased luminous efficiency. In order to understand which of them will cope with their task and which will not, it is necessary to fully test the lamps on a number of key indicators: luminous intensity, geometry and, accordingly, illumination at certain points, and color temperature. If this is not possible, you can only trust your own experience or trust the manufacturers’ statements.

We decided to present to your attention lamps with the most common H4 base, and choose two types from the entire line - standard and lamps with increased visual comfort. The essence of the first follows from the name: these lamps are ordinary halogen incandescent lamps and are similar to those supplied to conveyors. The so-called white light of the second type of lamp is more comfortable for the eyes than the standard one. But when choosing such lamps, it is important to remember that in rainy weather visibility with them is worse, since the white light glares more strongly from wet surfaces and even from individual raindrops.

The issue of choosing lamps for headlights should be acute for every driver. I don’t need to explain the importance of high-quality headlights at night. The range and clarity of vision on the road depends on the quality of the headlights.

According to statistics, every fifth accident occurs due to poor-quality road lighting.

Let's look at the components of good night lighting:

  1. Headlight unit with high-quality reflector and diffuser. On the VAZ 2114 and other Samaras, such a unit is provided by Bosch. Compared to the Kirzhach headlight, Bosch has a much better and more directional light beam ().
  2. Lamps used in headlights. These are the ones that will be discussed in our article.
  3. Correct headlight adjustment. Nice lamps and the headlights will be completely useless if the light beam is directed into the sky or straight into the asphalt. To properly adjust your headlights, read this article:

Our cars use a h4 halogen lamp as headlights.

H4 is a halogen lamp with two filaments: for both low and high beam. But this is not enough. Today the market is full of lamps of this type, which have different characteristics, different gas composition, spiral, bulb, etc. Most lamps have a power of 60/55 W, which is considered optimal and is provided in every car. But there are also lamps with a power of 130/100 W, but such lamps usually have high temperature heating, as a result of which they burn the headlight reflector and its wiring, and also blind oncoming cars, which is unacceptable.

Modifications of H4 halogen lamps

Below are the main categories of halogen lamps and lamp models that participated in the test:

  • standard car lamps;
  • lamps with extended service life (subcategory of standard lamps);
  • lamps with increased luminous flux;
  • lamps for improved visual comfort;
  • all-weather auto lamps;
  • high power lamps.

Test of standard halogen lamps

The following lamp models, which are available to every consumer, took part in this test: (OSRAM H4 Standard, OSRAM H4 LIGHT@DAY, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Standard, PHILIPS H4 Long Life, NARVA H4 Standard).

High beam. In measuring the high beam headlights, the H4 LIGHT@DAY model confidently won, beating the results not only of its classmates, but also leaving aside some models of lamps with increased luminous flux. A lamp from GENERAL ELECTRIC is breathing in the back of our winner.

Low beam. Based on the results of measuring the low beam of standard halogens, it is clear that the leader in high beam, OSRAM H4 LIGHT@DAY, is inferior to other competitors, but not significantly.

The weakest was the GENERAL ELECTRIC lamp, which lost in all respects.

The winner is OSRAM H4 LIGHT@DAY.
Outsider - GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Standard.

Test of lamps with increased luminous flux

Lamps with increased luminous flux are lamps that can produce much more light than standard ones. Typically, such lamps on the packaging have a checkbox “+30%”, “+50%”, etc. This line of halogen lamps is relevant for people with impaired vision.

The following lamp models took part in the test: OSRAM H4 Silverstar (+50%), GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Megalight Plus (+60%), PHILIPS H4 Premium (+30%), PHILIPS H4 Visionplus (+50%), NARVA H4 Range Power , HELLA H4 Light Power (+50%), IPF Super Low Beam.

Low beam. The IPF lamp has taken a confident lead, but this is only because the low beam headlights have an increased power of up to 80W (the power of the high beam headlights is standard 60W). Only thanks to the increased power did this model come out ahead, but do not forget that increased power negatively affects the reflector and the wiring. The remaining models are in the same category without clear leaders or outsiders.

High beam. When switching to high beam headlights, our low beam leader was simply blown away and unable to compete with anyone. The leadership in high beam headlights was taken by Philips Premium (+30%), an outsider in low beam.

The winner is NARVA H4 Range Power, which showed excellent results in both operating modes, despite its relative cheapness compared to other models.

All-weather halogen lamp test

All-weather lamps on the bulb have a special coating that gives the beam a yellow tint, which improves the contrast of lighting in bad weather conditions: rain, fog. The following lamp models took part in this test: PHILIPS H4 Weather Vision, NARVA H4 Azzurro, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 AllDay, IPF H4 Superbeam.

High beam. The best results in this category were provided by PHILIPS and GENERAL ELECTRIC lamps.
Low beam. When switching to low beam headlights, Phillips takes the lead.
The winner is PHILIPS H4 Weather Vision.

Test of halogen lamps for improved visual comfort

Lamps with improved visual comfort - lamps with bright white light. The point is that lamps with bright white light are less tiring for the eyes, because... as close as possible to daytime. The headlights look a little like xenon lamps, while these lamps are optimal for long night trips.

But there is another side to these lamps - in rainy or foggy weather, the light from the headlights reflects on the drops and blinds the driver. The following lamp models participated in this test: PHILIPS H4 Blue Vision, NARVA H4 Range Power Blue, OSRAM H4 Cool Blue, XENOBRITE H4 Superwhite, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Superblue, IPF Gran Bluez Bulb, IPF White Max Neo Bulb.

High beam. OSRAM showed the best results in high beam mode.
Low beam. In this category, NARVA took the lead. Both OSRAM and GENERAL ELECTRIC confidently lined up behind it.
Winner - NARVA H4 Range Power Blue, OSRAM H4 Cool Blue, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Superblue.

High power lamp test

These lamps are not intended for installation in conventional headlights, but nevertheless, they are very popular among those who like to save money. Let's find out if they actually provide more light than regular lamps.

The test included lamps of the ZENON Power Gold and ZENON Plasma models. Both models showed very weak results in high beam mode. When switching to low beam, the result did not change, which indicates the low quality of the lamp.

Autolight - auto lamps increased brightness, what to put?

As we all know, these fog lights in older trim levels are in auto mode - they illuminate the side of the road for convenience, while turning on and off smoothly to preserve the life of the lamps. There is a lamp of the H7 standard, but there is not enough light from it, so I started experimenting and bought lamps with increased luminous efficiency
philips extreme vision +130 H7 - the light is good, the car really began to see clearly, despite the standard bi-xenon, the fog lights help a lot!
But bad luck: 1 lamp burned out after 3 months - I started to wonder why? - and that’s why the spiral is smaller and thinner, and as it follows in the manufacturers’ description, the pressure of the inert gas is 2 times greater - that’s why it shines, but not for long, from reviews on the forums I realized that osram night breaker unlimited h7 is generally enough for 1.5- 2 months, so I installed a bosch gigalight plus 120 h7 - I have already driven 15,000 km, and 8 months.
The other day a friend arrived in a FORD RANGER - he had low beam philips extreme vision +130 H4, it lasted him for 6 months, but he also wanted more, then they gave him another option -
autoreal61.ru/market/avto…35_125w_lampy_galogenennye/, I went on the Internet and found tests on the cut-off line, and a small description that I attach to my photos, we will compare how long this Japanese miracle will last, since the price is not small! I couldn’t find any testing of bosch gigalight plus 120 h7 lamps on the Internet, I’m testing it on myself, so far everything is satisfactory in terms of luminous flux, I calculate the resource by km.

Description of the test from the Internet

Test of automobile lamps with increased luminous efficiency

Here is an example of a standard traffic situation in which both drivers did not take care of safety traffic in the dark. The headlights of one do not illuminate the road well, while the headlights of the other blind oncoming drivers and also do not illuminate the road well.
We are sure that our readers are not so careless and do not want to find themselves in such a situation. To be prepared, you need to do a little modification to your car by replacing your headlight bulbs before the winter operating season. High-luminous efficiency lamps, the bright boxes of which are displayed in the windows of all auto stores, will allow you to obtain more of the much-needed luminous flux. But what to choose? Of the numbers on packages indicating an increase in light, “+30%” is perhaps the most modest. And so “+60%”, “+90%”, and some promise “+100%” of light! Fantasy depicts a road flooded with bright light in the middle of midnight darkness...
The headlight with a lamp installed in it was placed in a dark room, where the cut-off line required by GOST was established at a distance of 25 m from the source.

Koito VWhite – H4 headlight lamp, test
Koito Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1915, when it produced its first invention, used for signal lamps on railroads, which improved visibility of the tracks, which made it possible to improve the safety of transportation of both passengers and cargo. This marked the beginning of the development of the Koito Corporation, specializing in the production of lighting products for various types of transport. Now one of the main activities of Koito is the production of automobile lamps and lighting systems. Today, Koito supplies all the largest Japanese automobile factories and is highly appreciated for its research and development. Successful testing of the company's products in the Paris-Dakar rally and other off-road competitions gives the company the basis to be called a leading manufacturer of automotive lamps and lighting systems.

DESIGN FEATURES
In addition to standard ones, Koito's product range includes lamps with increased luminous efficiency, which include the Koito White BEAM III H4 model. According to the manufacturer, high-temperature lamps of the Koito White BEAM III series provide twice the brightness of the glow, while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. This is achieved due to the fact that the glow temperature of the lamp filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten filament from burning out, the concentration of inert gas in the flask is increased. At the same time, it is pumped into the lamp bulb under pressure twice that of a standard lamp.
The lamp bulb has a blue tint and is made of quartz glass - more refractory than usual and filtering the ultraviolet part of radiation, due to which Koito White BEAM III H4 lamps are absolutely safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. Also, since the electric power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), the lamp also does not emit excess heat - no more than a standard one. Due to such technical innovations, the color temperature of the light is increased to 4500K, which improves the driver’s color perception.
The llamas are sold in pairs in clear plastic packaging with a red label written in Japanese characters. We would like to immediately warn readers that they should not be afraid of the declared power value of 135/125 W: with these figures the manufacturer is trying to emphasize the increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so you can put them in your car without worry.

TEST RESULTS
Measurements of electrical power consumption at a test voltage of 13.2 V showed that the Koito White Beam III lamp is fully within the parameters stated by European regulations and is completely safe for car wiring. The luminous flux of the filament for both low and high beam is completely within the range established by GOST: 880 and 1440 lm, respectively. At the cut-off line, the Koito White Beam III halogen lamp demonstrated good geometry, forming the correct beam. It was clearly visible that the color of the lamp went into the cold part of the spectrum compared to standard halogens. It was noticeable to the naked eye that in the area of roadside illumination the brightness of the beam was higher than in other parts of the spatial distribution picture. The light from headlights with installed Koito White Beam III lamps will not dazzle oncoming drivers, since the illumination to the control point at a value of 44 lm is in limits established for serial products. Measurements of the illumination value at the 0-0 point showed that the lamp complies with GOST requirements and will not blind the driver in front. With an illumination requirement of less than 0.7 lm, the illumination from Koito White Beam III does not exceed 0.54 lm. The Koito White Beam III lamp illuminates the near roadside area well (15.9 lm when the requirement for serial production is 9.6 lm), and also The far shoulder area is well illuminated (11.6 lm).

ADVANTAGES
Increased light output. Clear cut-off line. Protection against glare from oncoming and passing traffic.

FLAWS
All inscriptions on the label are in Japanese.
