In the center of Moscow, two sites have been chosen for the independent launch of fireworks— both are located in parks:

  • the largest - for two thousand people - will appear in Tagansky Park (Taganskaya Street, houses 40-42);
  • the second will be located in the Krasnaya Presnya park (Mantulinskaya street, building 5, building 1).
On the same sites on New Year's Eve - at 01:00 on January 1 - you can see city fireworks.

Most points for self-launching pyrotechnics will be organized in the south of the capital. 31 sites with a total capacity of almost seven thousand people were selected here. The two largest of them will be located in the Zyablikovo area:

  • one - for 600 people - in the floodplain of Shmelevsky Brook (even side of Orekhovoy Boulevard);
  • the other - for 500 visitors - on the territory adjacent to the right bank of the Gorodnya River in Zyablikovo.
There will be 20 sites in the Eastern Administrative District, and 14 sites in the Western and Northwestern Administrative Districts. 10 sites have been selected in the south-east of the capital, eight in the South-Western Administrative Okrug, six in the Green Autonomous Okrug, and four in the TiNAO. One site for 150 people is provided in the north of the capital.

As the press service of the capital's emergency department said, points for independently launching fireworks will be available on New Year's holidays.

“More than 500 personnel from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Moscow and 12 units of fire and rescue equipment will ensure security at city facilities during this period,” the press service reported.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that it is necessary to purchase pyrotechnics in specialized stores, and Muscovites were also recommended to require a certificate of conformity for products from retail outlets. Under no circumstances should you buy pyrotechnics at markets. Due to non-compliance with temperature and humidity conditions, pyrotechnics may not work or explode prematurely, which can result in serious injuries.

“The second main rule is to read the instructions carefully. Sometimes it is enough to move five meters away from the fireworks, but somewhere the radius should be at least 30 meters,” noted the press service of the capital’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On the night of December 31 to January 1, more than 10 types of city fireworks will be launched in the capital. They can be seen on Red Square and at 29 other venues.
