MCC - Moscow Central Ring.

Opening September 10, 2016!

The Small Ring of the Moscow Railway (MKZD) is more than a hundred years old. Previously, passenger trains ran along it, but over time, the bulk of traffic was transported by goods. The ring served industrial zones, many of which fell into disrepair over time and, at best, were used as warehouses.Now these territories are being reorganized: housing, sports complexes, social facilities. Developing industrial zones need good transport connections. On the rails, where previously only freight trains ran, in 10 years up to 300 million people a year will be able to travel. However, the city does not refuse cargo transportation along the Moscow Ring Railway: freight trains will run along the tracks at night. For freight traffic, additional tracks with a length of about 30 kilometers are being laid.

OPENING OF THE MOSCOW CENTRAL RING (MCC)

COST OF TRAVEL TO MCC

During the first month of operation of the MCC, travel on the Moscow Central Circle will be free. After the end of the starting month of operation, one trip on the MCC will cost 50 rubles, two - 100 rubles, no more than 40 trips - 1,300 rubles, no more than 60 - 1,570 rubles. A travel ticket without a travel limit will cost passengers 210 rubles for a day, 400 rubles for three days, and 800 rubles for seven days.

ABOUT It will be possible to pay for trips using city tickets, such as “Troika” and “United”. Passengers will not have to pay twice: transfers from the Moscow Ring Railway to the metro will be free for one and a half hours. This time should be enough to go down into the subway, and not necessarily to the nearest station.Beneficiaries will retain the right to free travel around the ring. They will be able to use a Muscovite social card. Students and other students will be able to travel on the Moscow Ring Railway using discounted metro cards.

TRAVEL TIME

During peak hours, trains will run every six minutes, at other times - at intervals of 11-15 minutes. Drive by full circle On the Moscow Ring Road it will be possible in an hour and a quarter. The new transport circuit will make travel around the capital 20 minutes shorter on average.According to preliminary calculations, travel time between stations will be from 1.6 to 4.2 minutes.The transfer will take a matter of minutes, and 11 stations are organized on the “dry feet” principle. This means that you won’t have to go outside from the stations. A system of covered passages and galleries will protect pedestrians from rain, snow, and cold. And four stations will have glass walls and roofs to allow natural light in the lobbies.

INTERCEPTION PARKING

Motorists will be able to leave their car in intercept parking lots at 13 transport hubs and transfer to public transport. For citizens with limited mobility, elevators, escalators, lifts will be installed, and tactile tiles will be laid.

Big metro ring. Opening schedule

"Business Center" (opened February 26, 2018)

"Petrovsky Park" (opened February 26, 2018)

"CSKA" ("Khodynskoye Pole") (opened February 26, 2018)

"Shelepikha" (opened February 26, 2016)

"Khoroshevskaya" (opened February 26, 2018)

"Aviamotornaya" (2019)

The main thing that needs to be done at the second stage of the development of the subway is to build a new ring line - the Third Interchange Circuit. Its length will be 42 km. Total n planned to open bmore than 160 km of new stations.

By 2020, the congestion of the capital's metro should decrease by almost half (By 2020, the capital's metro will increase by 78 stations):

"“We believe that it is this additional circuit that will allow us to relieve the existing lines,” sums up M. Khusnullin. — Passengers will not have to travel to the city center to switch to another line.

Among other things, it is through the new ring that the subway is planned to be connected to the Moscow Ring Railway. The main interchange hubs will be the Khoroshevskaya and Nizhegorodskaya Street stations. At the same time, underground and surface trains will run according to an agreed schedule.

“By building the Third Interchange Circuit, we have the opportunity to “string” additional stations onto it, which will be needed when developing new territories,” explains M. Khusnullin. — As soon as we begin to develop the new territory, all the infrastructure will already be prepared.

Ultimately, due to the creation of new underground routes, the congestion of the capital’s metro should be reduced by almost half. If now, during peak hours, up to 8 people per 1 sq. m. are packed into the cars. m, then to 2020 The metro will reach the standard load - about 4.5 people per square meter.".

After the construction of the second ring line:

  • Instead of the current 40 minutes it takes to get from the Yugo-Zapadnaya station to Kuntsevskaya, using the second ring you will get there in just 10 minutes!
  • now the journey from Kaluzhskaya to Sevastopolskaya takes 35 minutes, but it will only take 3 minutes;
  • the trip from Sokolniki to Elektrozavodskaya will take only 3 minutes instead of 22 minutes;
  • the route from Kashirskaya to Tekstilshchiki takes 30 minutes, but it will take 2 minutes;
  • The travel time from Rizhskaya to Aviamotornaya is currently 20 minutes, and with the opening of the TPK it will be reduced exactly by half!

The MCC is the Moscow Central Circle, a new stage in the development of the capital’s transport infrastructure. Convenient and fast transport for moving, especially to those microdistricts where there are no metro lines. You can deal with complex transport interchanges on a special website that has all the necessary information.

Metro and MCC map

It's a little lower on the page. Before this, you can read the text part where you can find out about the fare, stations and operating hours. The diagram itself is very detailed and convenient to work with. To zoom in, click on the map.

MCC and metro map

Here you can see the metro map with all the interchange nodes, as well as the MCC map with stops and transfers. Below is a readable legend of all symbols, thanks to which working with the circuit becomes even easier.

Symbols on the diagram

The map shows:

  • branches and stations of the Moscow metro;
  • MCC stops;
  • railway and bus stations, airports;
  • intercept parking.

Scheme of the MCC with interchange hubs for suburban transport

This is the following diagram of the MCC, which shows the places of transfers and the route of suburban electric trains. The map indicates current and planned transfer points between the MCC and suburban trains.

Transfer scheme for the MCC and suburban electric trains

The signage and interchange stations are divided into three commissioning phases:

  • Stage 1 – September 2016;
  • Stage 2 – end of 2016
  • Stage 3 – 2018.

Information on transfer operations is reflected in great detail, from the distance and approximate time for a transfer to additional information on the type of station.

Information about transfer stations

Plans for the development of this transport and the location of new transfer stations are also indicated.

Diagram of interchange hubs between the MCC and NGT

This diagram shows connections with ground urban transport. Everything is very informative and detailed here you can see for each transfer station:

  • type of ground transport;
  • transport route;
  • movement interval.

Fragment of a map diagram of interchange hubs of the MCC and ground urban transport

The average time to a particular station or route is written near each station. The main transport facilities (stations, airports) are indicated. Working with the map is simple, but lacks more interactivity.

This information will be very useful for both city guests and residents of the capital. Convenient maps are worth saving to your mobile phone and using to navigate around the city. This will significantly reduce travel time and find calmer and more convenient travel options. This is especially important during rush hour and Friday crowds.

The metro is the main method of transportation for most people in densely populated cities. It attracts with its underground coolness, elegant architecture and lack of traffic jams. It is difficult for emergency incidents to interfere with the rhythm of the measured life of the Moscow metro. The professionalism of the drivers, station security and strict rules of use are bearing fruit.

Many Muscovites and guests of the capital have already become accustomed to the convenience of the MCC (Moscow Central Circle) or, as it was previously called the MKR - Moscow Circle Railway, the opening of which contributed to the unloading of the capital's ring line of the Moscow Metro in particular and the entire metro in general.

MCC map with metro

MCC map with transfers to the metro, trains and suburban transport

Another popular MCC scheme with transfers to the metro, electric trains and other suburban transport will be useful for passengers who travel by electric trains, transfer to the MCC from the metro or from minibuses. The diagram shows metro stations, Russian Railways stations and MCC stations along with transitions to them.

We draw your attention to the distance of a number of MCC stations from the metro. For example, from the Nagatinskaya metro station to the MCC station Upper Fields the Yandex map shows 4 km, despite the fact that the metro map indicates 10 - 12 minutes on foot.

Schemes and maps during construction (projects) with transfer nodes:

Numerous search queries can be addressed to the only official website of the Moscow Ring Railway http://mkzd.ru/

According to preliminary sketches, it was assumed that the Moscow Ring Road on the map would look like this:

MCC hours and schedule

MCC works the same way graphics, as the Moscow metro:

from 5:30 am to 01:00 am

List of MCC (MKR) stations:

There will be 31 stations in total. It is assumed that the rolling stock will be represented by Lastochka trains, which have proven themselves on intercity routes and will certainly be convenient for such local transportation.

The opening of the Moscow Ring Railway is planned for the end of 2016, testing is planned to begin in July 2016, so we are waiting for new information and will be updated as it becomes available.

Information about the MCC:

What is the length of the MCC in km?

The small ring of the Moscow Railway, along which the movement of MCC trains is organized, has a length of 54 km.

MCC How long does it take for a train to complete a circle?

A full circle along the MCC can be completed in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
The same answer will be to other questions, like: circle on the MCC in time

What is MCC?

The MCC is the Moscow Central Circle and this entire article describes this Moscow facility in all types and angles, including the history of its creation.

Calculation of time between MCC stations

Because the calculator has not yet been written and is not ready, a simple way to calculate travel time between stations: the following 90 minutes / 31 stations = about 3 minutes approximate calculation of time from station to station.

What are the train intervals on the MCC?

The intervals between MCC trains are no more than 6 minutes during rush hours, which is generally not bad, especially at traditionally problematic and overloaded stations. For example, near the City, where on the days of exhibitions at the Expo Center you are taken out of the metro.

They also asked:

The Moscow Central Circle is part of the transport system of the future capital.
It gives the city an alternative to choosing new routes, reduces the load on the metro and train stations in the city center and makes a trip around Moscow an average 20 minutes Briefly speaking.

About the MCC project

The city train is a new type of public transport that appeared in the capital on September 10, 2016 with the opening of the Moscow Central Circle (MCC).

New generation Lastochka trains run along the railway ring during metro operation. You won’t have to wait more than 6 minutes for an electric train during rush hours, and you can change to the metro for free - the MCC has the same pass as the metro.

Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction:

The launch of traffic on the Moscow Central Circle is a breakthrough project for the capital. MCC will be built in the city new system transport logistics. There will be a redistribution of transit flows from the center to the middle part of the city, adjacent territories will become more accessible, passenger traffic in the metro will decrease and roads will be partially cleared.
The load on the main metro lines, primarily the Circle Line and central interchange stations, will be reduced by more than 15%.

You can pay for your ticket at the ticket office at any MCC station with a bank card.
In the future it is planned to introduce modern technologies fare payment: NFC (toll payment using mobile phone), Pay Pass / Pay Wave (contactless payment by bank card).

"Without the sound of wheels"

Fast “Swallows” reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, but at the same time do not cause “noisy inconvenience” to citizens.

All electrified rolling stock is noticeably quieter than diesel locomotives and meets modern environmental requirements.

Protective screens will protect citizens from unnecessary noise
and the creation of the so-called “velvet road” - without the sound of wheels.

This technology involves laying railway tracks using special technology in separate 800-meter sections.

Why will the city train become a popular mode of transport among Muscovites?

A trip along the MCC will be many times more comfortable than in the metro. 110 “swallows” ply along the railway ring, each designed for 1,200 people.

New generation city electric trains are equipped with

Security on the MCC

Rail transport traditionally remains one of the most dangerous in the world. However, emergency situations do not occur with trains, but with inattentive passengers who step onto the rails in prohibited places.
A fence has been installed along the entire perimeter of the MCC, which will prevent unauthorized access to the railway tracks.

The total length of the fence was 108 km

Part of the fence (16 km) are noise barriers that were installed within the boundaries of residential buildings.

Free pass
– does NOT mean uncontrolled

On Moskovsky central ring implement all transport security measures applied in the metro and on the railway. For example, profiling will also be carried out here.

Profiling

This method evaluates and predicts human behavior based on the analysis of characteristics of appearance, non-verbal and verbal behavior.
There will also be a traditional search like in the subway. Increased passenger protection will be ensured by modern system turnstiles, detector frames and CCTV, as well as through the creation of a separate police unit.

Transport hubs

It will be possible to change from one type of transport to another in a matter of minutes using transport interchange hubs (TPU). They consist of terminals with ticket offices and turnstiles, as well as a system of covered pedestrian galleries - overhead and underground passages that protect passengers from bad weather.

All stations provide a transfer to city public transport

buses, trams, trolleybuses and autolines

Passengers don’t even have to go outside, which is why this type of transfer is called the “principle” dry feet».

Now ground urban transport brings citizens directly to the ring stations

In the future, transport hubs will become multifunctional: they will include offices, shopping malls, shops and cafes. Investors will invest money in the construction of the commercial part; the city, using funds from the Moscow budget, is building only the technological part of the hub, which performs a transport function. This concept meets the interests of investors, for whom it is important to recoup their investments in construction, and the needs of citizens, who will be able to find work or receive necessary services close to home.

In the future, some long-distance trains will be able to disembark passengers before reaching the station. By using the MCC, people will be able to save their time, and train stations in the center of Moscow will become freer.

Parking and rides

There will also be an increase in passengers on the MCC due to some motorists who will choose “traffic-free” movement around the city on rail transport. This will relieve some of the load from overcrowded city highways.

You will be able to park your car in park-and-ride parking lots near 17 stations Moscow Central Circle. They are ready to accept 2 thousand cars.

These parking lots will operate in the same mode as intercept parking lots at metro stations, of which there are 31 (capacity - 6.6 thousand cars). The largest of them, for 1.48 thousand cars, is located at the Annino metro station.

The Moscow Central Circle will breathe life into abandoned areas around

For 90 years, the district railway was used for the delivery of goods.

During the USSR, the necessary load was given to her by utility and industrial enterprises located around. But gradually production fell into decline, and these days these sites are, at best, used for warehouses, and more often they are simply idle.

The MCC is a unique project not only from the point of view of developing transport infrastructure, but also from the point of view of creating new jobs.

After the introduction of new real estate in the area of the MCC stations, about 40 thousand jobs will be created.

Investors have already expressed their readiness to invest in the development of areas around 11 MCC stations. Among them:

"Botanical Garden"

"Vladykino"

"Yaroslavskaya"

"Open Highway"

"Novokhokhlovskaya"

"ZIL"

"Warsaw highway"

"Business center"

"Shelepikha"

"Novopeschanaya"

"Nikolaevskaya"

Attracting private investment will allow Moscow to save budget money and direct it to the development of social and transport infrastructure in other areas of the city.

Former industrial zones will turn into new urban areas

Around the ring, according to calculations by the General Plan Institute, the following can be built:

750 thousand sq. m of commercial real estate.
Of them 300 thousand “squares”- hotels,
250 thousand - trading platforms,
200 thousand - new offices and technology parks.

Moscow has the right to expect that developers will be interested in investing in real estate construction, because after the launch of the MCC, the cost of land around it will increase significantly. The former industrial zones around the MCC fell into disrepair: these territories required an integrated approach. And putting the lands around the railway ring in order became the largest urban improvement project in 2016. Every day, 25.9 thousand people were involved in the improvement of the MCC in the summer of 2016. However, the work was not aimed only at improving appearance stations, the task was also to create convenient pedestrian connections between the MCC and ground urban transport stops.

  • 2,800 trees were planted on the MCC.
  • Renovated facades 111 56 historical buildings. Near 11 stations view zones are created.

    The historical Kanatchikovo station on the MCC will not open to passengers, but will become an interesting excursion site.

    Two residential buildings, a gatehouse, a centralization booth and a warehouse have also been preserved. The Kanatchikovo station has adorned the Moscow Central Circle, being of value to anyone interested in the history of Moscow railways and urban architecture.

    This decision is due to the low passenger traffic in this area. "Kanatchikovo" is located between the stops "Krymskaya" and "Ploshchad Gagarina" parallel to Kanatchikovsky Proezd. The two-story station building from the early 20th century is a cultural heritage site.

  • Sergei Witte

    History of the creation of the MCC

    In 2018, the Moscow Central Circle will celebrate a unique anniversary: Emperor Nicholas II made the decision to build the Circular Railway in Moscow in the fall of 1897.

    The initiator of the project was a great enthusiast of railway transport, the Minister of Finance Russian Empire Sergei Witte. The circular railway was of great national importance, so the best Russian engineers and architects were involved in the project.

    For 110 years, the MCC’s mission has not changed: saving passengers’ time.

On 50 versts (54 km) was built
14 stations

2
stopping points

30
overpasses

72 bridges
(of which 4 are through
Moscow River)

35 pairs of trains ran along the district per day. Passenger transportation on the MCC did not last long; they were stopped due to unprofitability. For more than a century, the railway ring was used only for the transport of goods and served the industrial areas around it.

The idea of restoring passenger traffic never left Moscow city planners, but work began only in 2012.
It was necessary to completely update the infrastructure: electrify the road, relay the rails and, most importantly, reconstruct eight overpasses at the intersection with highways to raise them to a height that allows new trains to pass through.

The first passengers traveled along the district on September 10, 2016. On the eve of this event, the road was given a new name - the Moscow Central Circle (MCC).
