In 1943, Mikhalkov, together with military journalist Georgy El-Registan (Gabriel Arkadyevich Ureklyan), wrote the text for the National Anthem of the USSR, which was first performed on New Year's Eve 1944. In 1977, Mikhalkov created the second edition of the USSR national anthem.

The happiness of peoples is a reliable stronghold!

We will sweep the vile invaders off the road!

We will lead our Fatherland to glory!

Let it lead from victory to victory!

Russian anthem. Text 2001

Russia is our sacred power,
Russia is our beloved country.
Mighty will, great glory -
Your treasure for all time!

Chorus:

Hail, our Fatherland is free,

From the southern seas to the polar edge
Our forests and fields are spread out.
You are the only one in the world! You are the only one -
God-protected native land!

Chorus:

Hail, our Fatherland is free,
An age-old union of fraternal peoples,
This is the folk wisdom given by our ancestors!
Hail, country! We are proud of you!

Wide scope for dreams and for life
The years to come reveal to us.
Our loyalty to the Fatherland gives us strength.
So it was, so it is and so it will always be!

Chorus:

Hail, our Fatherland is free,
An age-old union of fraternal peoples,
This is the folk wisdom given by our ancestors!
Hail, country! We are proud of you!

National anthem of the Russian Federation is one of the main official state symbols of the Russian Federation, along with the flag and coat of arms. The music and the basis of the text were borrowed from the Anthem of the Soviet Union. The melody for it was written by Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov, the same one who shaped the fighting spirit in the first days of the Great Patriotic War with such a work as “Get up, huge country!” The authors of the verses of the anthem were Sergei Mikhalkov and Gabriel El-Registan.

Date of approval of the national anthem of the Russian Federation

During the November 2000 session of the Federation Council, the President stated that the legislative consolidation of state symbols should be a priority for the state. As music Putin V.V. proposed to take the former Soviet anthem, while writing new text for it. On December 4, 2000, he introduced a new bill “On the State Anthem of the Russian Federation” to the State Duma. On December 8, the State Duma voted in favor of adopting Alexandrov’s music as the anthem. Based on the voting results, a commission was created whose task was to propose the text of the national anthem. Over 6,000 thousand letters were received from citizens with proposals for a new text, but the commission chose the poems by S.V. Mikhalkova.

On December 20, 2000, the Federation Council approved a package of bills, which included the law on the anthem; it was signed by Russian President V.V. Putin. December 25, 2000. Alexandrov's music was officially accepted. On December 30, 2000, the text was approved by presidential decree. For the first time, citizens of the Russian Federation heard a new version of the anthem with words on television on the night of January 1, 2001.

The anthem is mainly performed at ceremonial and festive events, broadcast on television channels and radio at the beginning and at the end of broadcasting. In accordance with the law, it is also performed during official sports competitions in Russia and abroad.

During the official playing of the national anthem of the Russian Federation, those present must stand.

Upon arrival at the military unit, your commanders will require you to know the text of the Russian anthem, because in the army it is performed by the unit every day. The anthem is also performed at the general formation of a military unit, during evening roll checks in the unit, when raising the flag, and at the Victory Parades on May 9. Nevertheless, I believe that every citizen of Russia should know the text of the national anthem of the Russian Federation, because it is a symbol of the new Russia and a reflection of the respect of all the people and devotion to their country and their history.

The words of the Anthem of the Russian Federation were written by the Soviet writer Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov. He was also the author of the USSR National Anthem.

Russia is our sacred power,
Russia is our beloved country.
Mighty will, great glory -
Your treasure for all time!

Hail, our Fatherland is free,
An age-old union of fraternal peoples,
This is the folk wisdom given by our ancestors!
Hail, country! We are proud of you!

From the southern seas to the polar edge
Our forests and fields are spread out.
You are the only one in the world! You are the only one -
God-protected native land!

Wide scope for dreams and for life
The years to come reveal to us.
Our loyalty to the Fatherland gives us strength.
So it was, so it is and so it will always be!

The words of the anthem reflect the power and greatness of our Motherland, its vast expanses, and rich history. These verses unite people of all nationalities, all who love their country, are proud of it and wish it prosperity.

Unlike other state symbols - the coat of arms and the flag - the anthem can not only be seen on a piece of paper, but also heard.

The melody of the National Anthem was written by the famous composer and choral conductor Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov. It was first heard during the Great Patriotic War, when the Red Army and Navy fought the Nazis. Beautiful, majestic and solemn music gives birth in the heart of every Russian to a feeling of pride for their Motherland. She is known all over the world. Together with easy-to-remember words, it vividly represents our wide Rus' with its endless fields, forests, rivers and lakes, cities and villages.

The State Anthem of the Russian Federation is a musical and poetic work performed in cases provided for by the Federal Constitutional Law on the State Anthem. It can be performed in an orchestral, choral, orchestral-choral or other vocal and instrumental version. The national anthem of the Russian Federation must be performed in strict accordance with the musical edition and text approved by law. The Russian national anthem was approved by presidential decree on December 30, 2000. The author of the words of the anthem is S.V. Mikhalkov, music author A.V. Alexandrov.

The first anthem of Russia, “The Prayer of the Russians,” began to be performed in 1816 by decree of Alexander I during the emperor’s meetings. The words of the anthem belonged to V.A. Zhukovsky, the music was borrowed from Henry Currie (“God Save the King,” 1743). This anthem lasted until 1833, after which it was replaced by “God Save the Tsar!” In 1917, its place was taken by the Workers' Marseillaise, which was replaced a year later by the Internationale. In 1944, a new anthem appeared, the music of which is used in the modern anthem. The authors of the words for it were S.V. Mikhalkov and G.G. El Registan. From 1955 to 1977, the anthem was sung without words (since they mentioned the name of the disgraced Stalin), until new ones were written by the same authors. After the collapse of the USSR (in 1991), the anthem of Russia became the “Patriotic Song” by composer Glinka. This anthem had no words until its replacement in 2000.

The Russian Federation is the largest country on planet Earth. And like any other country, it has its own distinctive symbols, including the Russian anthem, which you can download for free and also listen to online on this page.

The history of the Russian anthem is quite interesting; initially, after the collapse of the USSR, it was just the melody of the Soviet anthem without words. And when V.V. became president. Putin, at the turn of 2000 and 2001, officially adopted the text of the anthem of the Russian Federation, and on the night of December 31 to January 1, Russians heard its performance for the first time.

At the moment, the Russian anthem is one of the most recognizable anthems in the whole world. We bring to your attention several variants of it, or rather several variants of its execution, as well as the melody itself without a performer.

Despite its worldwide fame, not all Russians know the entire text of the Russian anthem. Most of them only know the first verse and one chorus. That is why we bring to your attention the text of the Russian anthem.
