How to make a bouquet of flowers from napkins with your own hands. Master class on creating a bouquet. Making decor from napkins

A napkin is a simple and necessary thing on the table. But not everyone will think about using it in a different way. Look at this thing from the other side and then you will understand that the thinness of the paper from which it is made, elegant prints and relative cheapness (compared to other materials) make the napkin a unique raw material for creating unique crafts. This is unlimited ground for imagination, because with the help of an ordinary napkin you can create any shape. It's worth starting with something simple. For example, anyone can make flowers from napkins with their own hands; you just need to familiarize yourself with several techniques, as well as show a little persistence and patience.

Rose technique

You can make your own napkin flowers using single-layer or three-layer napkins. Most often, three-layer napkins will have to be separated into layers, then the resulting flower will be more beautiful and neat. In order to create a colored rose, we need 2 single-layer napkins. One of them is red for the bud, the other is green for the stem.
First you need to unfold and straighten the red napkin. Carefully cut off about a third of it. Fold the napkin in half. You need to bend exactly the upper half of it. Look at the picture and find out how this is done. Twist the top of the strip around your left index finger. You will get a blank for the bud. Roll the napkin along the bottom folded edge. One corner will stand out a little. You need to pull it up, then bend it to the side. Very carefully straighten the bud with your fingers so as not to crush the petals, but to give the natural shape of the flower. To perform this action you will need some skill.

For the stem, you will need one single-layer napkin, completely straightened, or one of the layers of a three-layer napkin, previously separated. Twist the napkin around the folded end of the bud as shown in the picture. As you twist, transform the napkin into a stem. In the middle of the stem you need to make a leaf; to do this, pull the edge of the napkin and highlight the corner outward. Continue rolling the napkin until the end.
After completing all the steps, you can admire the beautiful flower that was created by your own hands. The rose flower is ready. You can make several such elegant flowers - it will be an original bouquet that you can even give as a gift. If you don’t have multi-colored napkins, you can make the bud and stem the same color.

Dandelion technique

Fluffy, multi-layered flowers from napkins are made by hand not only for bouquets, but also for creating applications with a voluminous effect. Let's look at the technique of creating a dandelion. You will need a yellow napkin made of three layers, green colored paper, a stapler, cardboard that will serve as a backing for the composition and a little imagination.

The principle of making a flower

Take a three-layer napkin and divide it into layers. Take two layers for the flower and fold it 4 times. Let's stack both layers together on top of each other. Using a stationery stapler, we fasten the layers crosswise, as shown in the figure.

A circle is cut out from a square blank. Along the circumference of the cut workpiece we make cuts at equal intervals from each other (about a millimeter deep). Gently lift the top thin layer with your fingers and compress it towards the center. We do the same with the next layers. You can lift each individual layer, or two or three layers at a time. The dandelion bud is ready, let's move on to the rest of the flower.

Bring your creative vision to create the painting. Cut out the dandelion petals from colored paper, glue them onto the backing as your instinct tells you, this way you will get a beautiful, exclusive picture.

Using a similar technique, you can make a composition of sakura flowers from napkins with your own hands. In this case, you will need to take multi-colored layers of a three-layer napkin, at a certain moment divide the workpiece into four parts, cut out a flower instead of a circle and then continue working, as shown in the figure.

“Carnation” technique

You can create another masterpiece if you master the technique of creating fabulously beautiful carnations. If you want to make a red flower, then take a three-layer napkin of the corresponding color.

Tear off a small part about 1 cm wide from the napkin. You just need to tear it off, not cut it off. This will give a natural look to the edges of the petals. It is important not to tear off the fold, be careful about this. Unfold one spread of the napkin as shown in the picture. Fold the napkin into a bow like an accordion. Use the torn part to tie a bow in the middle, as in the picture.

Next, you need to separate one layer from either side of the bow, and do the same with all the other layers. The other part of the bow can be cut and secured with a stapler; this will be the base of the bud. This way you will get beautiful flowers from napkins with your own hands.

You can make a composition of multi-colored flowers; do not forget that carnations come in white, pink, and delicate tea color.

If at the very beginning of making a carnation you do not tear off part of the napkin, roll it up in its original form, then, by cutting off the corners of the folded strip in a semicircle, you can get a completely different flower. By experimenting with similar moments, you will get many variations of colors from napkins made not just from scrap material, but also with your own hands.

Using glue, you can attach flowers from paper napkins to a spherical shape, dilute them with beads and petals cut out of colored paper or fabric and get fabulous compositions that can even be used to decorate a wedding interior in the hall.

Or you can use this one - a brighter bouquet in a pot. From a distance you can't tell them from real flowers.

This bouquet will be an excellent decoration for any celebration, and if desired, you can keep it forever.
Don't be afraid to experiment with materials. Often, what we have at hand can appear in a new light and delight the eye for a long time, we just need to put in a little effort and creativity.

Do you need to decorate a party or just add some color to the design of your apartment or room? Why not fill the room with flowers, but not simple ones, but from napkins. Perhaps fresh flowers are better, and besides, they drain the wonderful aroma. However, they have several significant disadvantages: they are very expensive, and they fade after a few days. Napkin flowers or even bouquets: easy to make, the material to work with is very cheap, a great gift for loved ones, and the scent can be added with a few drops of perfume or fragrance.

In this article we have collected the most popular and unusual workshops on making artificial paper flowers. Just follow the step-by-step instructions with photos to create a bouquet of roses, several peonies or carnations, as well as dandelions. Using the knowledge you have gained, you can easily make absolutely any flower with your own hands in a wide variety of colors.

Step-by-step master class: peonies from napkins

To make one flower you need to prepare a bright multi-layer napkin. It is most common to make a peony in red, but there are no restrictions on color, even purple and green will look great.

There is no need to unfold the napkin, but be sure to tear off a small strip, up to 1 cm, from both sides of the square. This will make the final craft more realistic.

To form a bud, unfold the napkin so that it forms a rectangle. Then fold it into an accordion with a strip width of up to one or two centimeters. To keep everything together, tie an accordion in the middle with a torn piece.

And so, the final stage is the creation of a full-fledged bud. The resulting accordion must be fluffed to form a pompom. The napkin is a very flexible material, don’t be afraid to experiment.

The resulting bud can be attached to a wire stem and you can get a full-fledged branch; several of these products and the bouquet is ready. However, this is not the only option for using it, for example: as a pompom to decorate a dress or to create an entire topiary.

Do-it-yourself field dandelion from a napkin

Almost everyone has seen a dandelion flower, and many even made wreaths from it. We suggest making a copy of it, but from paper. To work you need only 3 things: yellow napkins, scissors and an office stapler. In addition, even children from primary school or kindergarten can create such crafts during labor lessons.

First you need to decide on the size of the final flower. Divide the napkin into squares; we suggest trying to quarter them; if the size is large, you can always reduce them. To prevent the squares from scattering, fasten them in the center with staples. For greater security, secure two brackets.

Give the resulting workpiece a rounded shape; just cut off the corners with scissors. When the workpiece has acquired a round shape, make cuts in a circle, with a depth of no more than a third of the diameter.

As in the previous master class, you need to form a bud. To do this, just lift each layer of napkins and crumple it.

This method is also suitable for making almost any flower, be it a rose or a chrysanthemum. It is enough to change the shape of the workpiece and cut out not a circle, but the contours of the plant you are interested in.

How to make a rose from a napkin?

There are several ways to make this flower. We will look at three main ones.

Paper rose - method No. 1:

The same multi-layer napkin must be completely unfolded and cut into longitudinal strips measuring from 3 to 5 centimeters. Then screw them onto your finger to get a small cylinder.

The other part of the cylinder, which is not on the finger, needs to be twisted tightly so that you get a small leg, and the workpiece does not unwind later. On the other side, start bending the napkin so that you get petals.

The bud is ready, all that remains is to attach the stem. You need to attach a stem for the flower to the shoot on the bud; just twist a small tube from a green napkin.

Paper rose - method No. 2:

Use a single-layer napkin, as in the previous version, unfold it. Next, take a pencil and place it on the edge. Start rolling the napkin around it until it's about halfway up. Then squeeze the resulting sausage a little and remove it from the pencil.

It is necessary to prepare 5-6 such blanks. Next, you need to put them together, winding one on top of the other - in a spiral, while thickening the bud itself. This can be clearly seen in the photo below.

To secure everything and hide the extra parts, attach another napkin, preferably a different color, to the resulting legs and tie everything with a decorative ribbon.

If you did everything correctly, then you should have a beautiful boutonniere. It is perfect for decorating a holiday table or decorating a party.

Paper rose - method No. 3:

For this type of artificial rose you need to prepare a special napkin - round with lace. It is enough to make a cut to the middle of the circle and twist the paper into a spiral. Be sure to twist the tail so that the structure holds and there is a beginning for the stem. As in the previous master class, the leg is made from a green napkin.

Paper carnation flower

This type of flowers turns out to be quite delicate and beautiful. And for work you need to prepare not only white napkins with scissors, but also colored markers, and even better - paint.

This technique is practically no different from the previous ones. The napkin also needs to be folded into a pile, secured with a stapler, thread or hairpin, then stretched and raised the edges. The only difference is that the edges of the napkin, before the final assembly, need to be colored with a felt-tip pen or dipped in paint.

A beautiful bouquet made with your own hands from absolutely ordinary paper napkins can be an original and pleasant gift. Choose the color and size of napkins as desired. In this case, it will be yellow flowers with green leaves in a ready-made basket. Type of basket.

Instead of a basket, you can use a regular plastic flower pot or any other vase that is not used for its intended purpose.
1. Inflate a regular balloon to the size you need. Dilute PVA glue with water (about 1 teaspoon of glue per half glass of water). Dip the napkins into the resulting solution and cover the balloon with them. The more layers, the stronger the bouquet will be. The tail of the ball must be left free in order to later pull it out.

2. While the ball is completely dry, there is time to cut out flowers and leaves. To do this, take a four-layer napkin and fold it in half, then in half again.

3. Cut out a circle and make many cuts along the edge. If you want a lush flower, then the cuts need to be made thinner and wider. Leaves are cut in the same way. The only difference is the larger diameter of the circle. The green color can be much brighter. In the example, the color is not saturated enough.

5. The next step is collecting the inflorescence. To do this, press each layer of the napkin, starting from the top, towards the center. The main thing here is to be careful, as thin napkins can tear. The leaves can also be bent, but not necessary. This will make the flowers appear more luxuriant.

The number of colors depends on the size of the inflated ball. Don’t be upset if there are a lot of flowers and it seems to you that there is not enough space for everyone. They will all fit in easily. To do this, the inflorescence must be pressed more tightly to the middle. If there are fewer flowers, then on the contrary, they need to be straightened out more and not glued tightly to each other, or additional new ones should be cut out.
6. When the napkins on the balloon are completely dry, carefully deflate the balloon and take it out. If desired, you can stick several more layers of napkins on the place where the ball was pulled out so that there is no hole. In this case, you will again have to wait until the napkins are completely dry. If the hole is small, you can leave it as is.
7. Using super glue, glue the ball to the basket and begin gluing the previously prepared flowers. You need to start from the highest point of the ball and gradually work your way down to the bottom. Try not to press too hard so as not to push through the ball, since there is emptiness inside. Of course, work on the bouquet can continue. It can be decorated with beads and various satin ribbons. In this example, red glitter is applied in the center of the flowers. To do this, apply a drop of glue with a thin brush, and then sprinkle with glitter with another brush. The final bouquet will look like this.

With a little imagination, you can decorate, for example, your holiday table with ordinary napkins. How? What if, instead of a square napkin, you put flowers made from napkins near the cutlery? Do you think it's too difficult and time-consuming? In vain. This flower is so easy to make that even a child can do it. Moreover, this work will captivate the children so much that while they are making flowers, you can calmly go about your business in the kitchen or get yourself in order... So, today we will conduct a lesson in which we will clearly show you how to make flowers from napkins with your own hands, with a minimum of available materials.

1) To make one finished flower from napkins we will need:

— 3-4 napkins, can be of different colors;
- scissors;
- any threads;
- optional markers or felt-tip pens (for coloring the flower), color - at your discretion.

2) In this master class, three white napkins are used to create a flower. Cut each one in half. This makes 6 rectangles. Carefully outline two rectangles with a green marker or felt-tip pen, two rectangles with yellow, and leave two white. But you can outline the edges with the colors you use for your markers, you can leave them completely white, or you can use colored napkins themselves. There can be many options. We stack all the rectangles on top of each other in the following order: two rectangles with a green edge, two with a white one, and put two rectangles with a yellow edge on top.

3) Make a fan out of these rectangles, as shown in the photo below.

4) We wrap the middle of this fan several times with thread. We tie the ends of the thread.

5) We make a circle out of the fan and begin, very carefully, so as not to tear the napkin, to separate the edges of the upper rectangle with the yellow edge and lift them up.

6) We continue to raise the next rectangle, and gradually the fan begins to take on the appearance of a flower.

7) The photo below shows the finished flower.

Happy child 20.11.2017

Dear readers, today I once again want to invite you to get creative. And, of course, it will be great if you actively involve your children in the creative process. Children always offer something new and unusual. Such joint creativity is always distinguished by originality and originality. In addition, the process of making crafts with your child brings you closer together and gives you the opportunity to talk about something important and intimate. Don't miss this opportunity! And another idea for such creativity is do-it-yourself decor and crafts from napkins, which Anna Pavlovskikh will introduce us to. I give her the floor.

Greetings, dear readers of Irina’s blog. I am very glad that my master classes and photos of creative works resonate among you. I always read comments with interest and am sincerely glad that people are passionate about creativity. This is very important for me as a teacher and as an artist.

It’s great that you create together with children. This, it seems to me, is an important component of education. How often parents are busy with work and worries, but if in this hustle and bustle you find at least a few hours a week for modeling, crafts, drawing with your child, then these are the memories that will remain with him for the rest of his life.

Now I bring to your attention crafts from napkins with children with step-by-step photos of making flowers from napkins. Such flowers can decorate both our holidays and everyday life. We will use the simplest and most affordable material - paper napkins of different colors and shades.

Napkin applique

What we need:

  • colored cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • napkins of different colors;
  • PVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • eraser.

To begin, draw the outlines of the future application on colored cardboard. Next, you need to decide what exactly will be done in volume with colored napkins, and what will be done on a plane of colored paper.

To make balls, you need to cut the napkins into squares with a side of about 5 cm. Let the children roll small balls from these squares with dry hands - they will certainly enjoy this exciting process.

In a few minutes you will have a lot of paper balls, and all you have to do is glue them according to the design. Apply PVA glue to the desired areas of the design and glue napkin balls onto them.

Make individual parts from colored paper. You can also cut rectangles from napkins and roll them into sausage tubes, from which you can make antennae for butterflies and stems for flowers.

I suggest you look at the work of my daughter Svetlana using this technique. Perhaps you will be inspired by some ideas and do similar work with your child.

Bouquets of flowers from napkins with children

How to make flowers from napkins with your own hands? We will need the following materials:

  • napkins of bright colors;
  • pencil;
  • stapler;
  • scissors;
  • glue stick;
  • cardboard for the base or floral ball.

Children as young as five years old enjoy making such flowers. They are very simple to make and look impressive. You can decorate a greeting card with them or make a whole bouquet.

Draw circles with a diameter of 4-5 cm on folded napkins. Carefully cut out the circles. Secure the middle of each multi-layer circle with a stapler.

Separate each layer of napkin and crumple it up towards the middle. Fluff each layer to form a beautiful flower. Make several of these flowers and collect them on a floral ball for bouquets or on a cardboard base for a card. The postcard can also be supplemented with leaves of colored paper and a beautiful inscription.

Roses from napkins

I offer you three options for making a rose from a napkin. Take a look and choose the one you like best.

1 option

To make a rose, you need one napkin. Cut off the two folded edges of the napkin and separate all the layers separately.

To make the first petal, you need to fold one layer of napkin not in half, but so that one part is slightly larger. Start rolling the folded edge evenly along its entire length. On both sides you need to twist the corners of the resulting rectangle.

Make petals from all the separated napkins. Twist a bud from the first petal and continue to twist all the petals in this manner, gradually unrolling the petals that are further from the center. Make several of these roses and combine them into one bouquet. Similar compositions can be used for table setting.

Option 2

Lay out the entire napkin, fold the square onto the corner. Fold the bottom of the triangle over one centimeter and continue folding, leaving a small triangle at the top. Twist the wrapped strip into a spiral. Turn the remaining tails from the triangle to the other side - these will be rose leaves.

Option 3

Lay out the napkin into one large square. Roll the square into a tube. Step back six centimeters from one edge of the tube and twist it tightly - this is the future base of the bud. From the opposite side of the tube, straighten the corner - it will become a rose leaf. Roll the remaining part below the sheet tightly. Open the petals of the bud, twist the center of the bud tightly.

Rose and water lily made from napkins for table setting

On holidays, we especially want to see the table beautiful and elegant. Flowers made from napkins will help decorate it with minimal means, but such decor will look very bright, unusual, and original.

Rose

Take a small glass and napkins of the same color. Place the corner of the napkin inside the cup and turn the opposite corner of the napkin down. Place the next napkins into the cup with a slight shift in a circle and also turn the corner down.

Having inserted 12 napkins, remove the finished rose from the glass and place it on the table. Making such a rose will be a real surprise for a child and a worthy decoration for the dining table.

Origami water lily

When working with napkins, you can use a technique such as origami with great success. Let's try to make a beautiful water lily using this technology.

Lay out the napkin and fold it diagonally. Unfold and fold four corners toward the center. Next, fold all four corners toward the center two more times.

Turn the napkin over to the other side and repeat this action once. Flip it back over and turn the petals out from the corners on the underside. Also turn the corners up from the bottom side.
