Apple lavash strudel. Lavash strudel with apples in the oven: step-by-step recipes and advice from confectioners

Sometimes you want something sweet so much that you can’t stand it, but you also don’t want to limit yourself to sandwiches with jam. So what to do? Of course, get out of the situation using available means. For example, pita bread will make a very interesting strudel. This recipe is simple and original. Essentially, the pie can include whatever is leftover in the refrigerator. The only thing that remains unchanged is And considering that you can buy apples all year round, even a beginner can cope with this.

Why do it?

Any housewife will be delighted if she is offered an interesting and fresh recipe for a familiar dish. It seems that everyone is already tired of strudel, but if the base is thin lavash, it will take on a new sound and delight you with its taste. This recipe will appeal to young housewives, but it will also be useful to experienced cooks, since it is simply reactive in time, and this has practically no effect on the taste.

All the work consists only of preparing the filling, and the pie itself is rolled up in two minutes and sent to a frying pan with butter. And then five minutes - and everything is ready. Most often they make quick Strudel in winter, you can diversify the apples with strawberries or lemon zest. This is a good option for breakfast for a large family, when there is simply no time to mess with the dough. In season, peaches go very harmoniously with apples, but they should be very soft, almost puree. You can also add raisins, nuts, spices, pears or plums.

Why do we love?

We love thin pita bread even without filling and seasonings. And all because it is an extremely authentic snack. Lavash is good for sandwiches, and with a delicate apple filling it will be an excellent dessert. We love strudel for its tenderness and brightness of taste, and this recipe is good for its simplicity.

The dessert will definitely turn out not only in terms of taste, but also in appearance, since thin pita bread allows for all sorts of experiments with shape. You can make a lot of filling and hide dried fruits in the apple mixture, which are useful for children. Or you can add a drop of liqueur to make an “adult” dessert. In any case, lavash allows for flights of fancy, which is especially nice in an environment of monotonous treats.

What do we need?

To make strudel from lavash, we will stock up on the lavash itself. One thin sheet is enough for a family of three. The filling will include two large apples and two peaches, as well as half a teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of sugar and a piece of butter. Instead of creamy, you can also use vegetable, but creamy tastes better. You can add speckled apples to the filling, as they are softer and juicier. If they have a thin peel, then you don’t have to peel it off, since it won’t be felt in the general mass.

For a richer taste, you can add low-fat cottage cheese and a spoonful of sour cream or natural yogurt to the filling. A bag of vanilla sugar and a drop of grated chocolate will add originality to the taste.

Work started

So, we start selling lavash by preparing the filling. We cut the apples into slices, removing the dark parts. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and line the bottom with thin apple slices, and then immediately cover with a lid. Summer fruits do not need covering. On the contrary, they will steam and turn into puree. The apples need to be lightly stewed and seasoned with sugar. Next, spices are used - nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom and dried mint. Everything needs to be mixed carefully and left to “rest.” If you make the filling thicker, you can simultaneously beat sour cream with cottage cheese and vanilla in a mixer, and then combine with cooled apples.

Now it's time to unwrap the pita base. The strudel should resemble a roll in shape, and therefore we unfold the pita bread to its full length. Place the cooled filling on the pita bread and add peach slices. The roll should be moderately tight and juicy. Now it can be cut into large pieces and fried in oil. Now the fragrant strudel is ready, all that remains is to decorate and serve.

Serving and tasting

You can bake lavash strudel with apples in the oven and do without excess oil. With this approach, the recipe will even turn out to be dietary. Low-fat sour cream, which needs to be whipped in a blender, is also suitable for decoration. You can add honey and beaten egg white to this sauce, which will add airiness to the overall mass. Place the strudel cut into slices on a baking sheet and place in the oven for a few minutes. Sprinkle the finished pie with cinnamon and make airy peaks from the sauce using a culinary syringe. You can also use condensed milk, berry jam or grated chocolate for decoration. The whole job takes about half an hour, including time to preheat the oven. The strudel is ready and it's time to serve it. For overall beauty, you can add a pinch of powdered sugar and call home. Strudel is the best dessert for hot tea!

Greetings to everyone who has visited the pages of my Home Recipes! As always, I am happy to share with you simple, unpretentious, tasty and repeatedly tested recipes.

I really love making all sorts of homemade baked goods, inviting friends and sharing good news over a cup of tea. What could be more pleasant than those moments when you are in a circle of people close to you in spirit?

My delicious treat today has its own backstory. One morning, as soon as I had time to wake up, my phone rang, the familiar voice of a close friend sounded in the receiver, who had returned from a weekend tour the night before, asking if I had time to have breakfast, she immediately, without waiting for my answer, told me without no more words to come to her immediately. It's good that we live close to each other.

As soon as I stepped over the threshold of her house, I immediately realized that there would be not only an exchange of pleasant information, but also the preparation of a new tasty treat for tea. I was presented with the fact that now we will prepare strudel from lavash. And that it will be very fast, practically without calories, and also very tasty! Objections were not accepted!

I had never cooked this before, but I was assured that it would be simply incredibly delicious. Well, why not experiment, I decided, and got to work. I liked the result, so I’m sharing this simple recipe with you.

Now for everyone who doesn’t like fiddling with dough, there is an excellent alternative - you can prepare lazy strudel from lavash very quickly and without any fuss!

And for this we need to have the following ingredients on hand:

  • Lavash – 1 piece;
  • Banana – 1-2 pcs;
  • Apple – 2 pcs;
  • Pitless raisins – 100 g;
  • Butter or vegetable-butter mixture – 50 g;
  • Lemon – ½ part;
  • Sugar - to taste;
  • Cinnamon – 1 tsp;
  • White loaf - 3-4 slices.

HOW TO COOK STRUDEL FROM LAVASH

As I promised, the whole cooking process will happen very quickly, that is, as quickly as you can quickly prepare all the ingredients.

So let's start by cutting slices of white loaf into small cubes; it will help us remove the apple juice released during baking. Pour the sliced loaf into a heated frying pan with a piece of butter. Fry quickly over high heat, stirring all the time.

Wash the raisins and pour boiling water over them for a minute. Then add salt to the water and place the raisins on a paper towel to dry.

Remove the finished croutons from the frying pan and move on to the fruit. Peel the banana and apple and quickly chop them into pieces of approximately the same size. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice.

Next, unfold the pita bread and generously grease its surface with soft butter. Now let’s place the filling we prepared on it: fried crackers, apple and banana pieces, raisins. Lightly sprinkle granulated sugar on top (optional) and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Leave the edges of the pita bread on both sides approximately 5 cm free from the filling.

Now we begin to roll our lavash strudel into a roll shape. We push the side edges inside. Our preparation is almost ready, we transfer it to a baking sheet covered with parchment, and now all that remains is to make the final touch - take a piece of butter and grease the surface of the pita bread with it.

By this time, your oven should already be preheated to 200 degrees. We will bake the lazy lavash strudel for about 15-20 minutes.

During this time you will have time to brew aromatic tea.

That's the whole story! Enjoy your tea!

As always, with love for you Lyudmila.

If you are not very friendly with dough, and pastries are not the most frequent guest on the table, we offer a non-standard recipe for apple strudel in pita bread. This sweet dessert is so easy to prepare that even those who have never seen a rolling pin and barely understand the difference between puff pastry, yeast pastry and shortbread can handle it.

Lazy lavash strudel with apple

This quick strudel can be made not only with apples, but also with cherries for the filling. Moreover, the roll can also be savory, for example, with meat or potatoes and cheese.

Ingredients:

  • lavash sheet – 1 pc.,
  • fresh apples – 4 pcs.,
  • cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon,
  • sugar – 1/3 cup,
  • butter – 20 g.

Cooking process:

In addition to apples, you can put soaked raisins or chopped walnuts in the strudel. They will give baked goods a new interesting taste.

Turn on the oven to preheat and begin preparing the apple filling.

Wash the apples and cut off the skin thinly. The more pulp remains on the fruit, the more it will go into the strudel. In a cold, clean, dry frying pan, cut the apples into small pieces. In fact, it doesn’t matter how you chop them; you can even grate them. In the strudel they will still turn into a sweet apple mass. Pour sugar and cinnamon into the pan.

Stir and place the apples over low heat to caramelize. Until the sugar melts, stir constantly so that it does not burn. When the apples boil, simmer them over the same low heat without a lid for about 7 minutes until the pieces are soft.

Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave. Remove the apples from the stove, unroll the lavash sheet and grease it with liquid oil. The roll turns out to be long, so for convenience, cut a sheet of Armenian lavash in half.

Place sweet and soft pieces on top and even them over the entire sheet.

Roll it up. Transfer it either to a baking sheet or into a baking dish.

Place the strudel in a hot oven for 20-25 minutes, cook at 180 degrees. When the pita bread is golden, you can take out the baked goods: it will be crispy on top and very juicy inside.

I’m sure that after making this strudel once, you’ll start making it all the time. Bon appetit!

Classic strudel is made from puff pastry with the addition of a large amount of butter and sugar - in a word, not the most dietary or light dessert. You can’t argue with the fact that strudel is incredibly tasty, but what to do if counting calories even after eating one piece is terrifying? All that remains is to experiment and come up with a new recipe for a familiar and much-loved dish, but one that is safer for a slim figure. Summer is just around the corner! Look how they prepare.
Diet strudel made from lavash with apples and cottage cheese in the oven, the recipe for which I described below, is another insanely simple, but at the same time original and surprisingly very tasty invention of people who follow healthy nutrition. The basis is ordinary thin Armenian lavash; of course, it is better if it turns out to be yeast-free, but this is not a necessary condition at all. Let’s say right away that there are not so many conditions for preparing this dessert. The main thing is not to be afraid to improvise and find that perfect taste for yourself. Well, let's try?!

Ingredients:

- 1 sheet of thin Armenian lavash;
- 150 gr. cottage cheese;
- 2 medium apples;
- 1 large pear;
- a handful of raisins, nuts;
- 1 tbsp. liquid honey;
- cinnamon, sweetener to taste;
- 1 raw yolk.

How to cook at home

We take the most common cottage cheese, the one sold in briquettes. Please pay attention to the fat content of the product; it should not exceed 5 percent. If the cottage cheese turns out to be a little dry, it can be diluted with a small amount of any low-fat fermented milk product, for example, sour cream or plain yogurt. Add honey to the cottage cheese and stir thoroughly until it forms a paste.

Cut apples and pears into small cubes. We choose the sweetest varieties, with them the strudel will turn out even more juicy and aromatic.

Now we begin to place the prepared ingredients on the flattened pita bread. Distribute the cottage cheese evenly, stepping back from one edge by 5-7 centimeters.

Next, lay out the chopped apples and pear. Be sure to mix it up so that with each bite you can feel the presence of both fruits in the dessert, because despite the similarity, each of them has its own unique taste and aroma.

Now we sprinkle our preparation with raisins. You can also add lightly chopped nuts to taste. And, of course, cinnamon completes all this splendor. What strudel would be complete without this amazing spice! If you are afraid that you won’t have enough sweetness, you can sprinkle the preparation with cane sugar, stevia or any other sweetener you are used to. For my taste, the sweetness from fruits, raisins and honey is quite enough.

We begin to carefully wrap the pita bread with filling into a roll. At the end of this simple process, the ends of the roll need to be tucked inward. Place our future strudel on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Brush with yolk to form a golden crust. Place the roll in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

The magnificent aroma of cinnamon and apples will instantly fill your kitchen, but while the strudel is preparing, it’s time to brew delicious tea to go with it.

It is better to serve the dessert slightly warm or completely cooled.
