Ural Humanitarian Institute (URGI)- private (non-state) higher education educational institution, which existed in Yekaterinburg until 2016. On December 13, 2015, USI’s state accreditation expired and the university did not renew it, and by the fall of 2016 the university ceased to exist.

History of Urgi

The Institute was created on July 10, 1995 (Minutes No. 1 of the meeting of the founders) and registered on August 15, 1995 as a non-state higher professional educational institution “Academic Humanitarian Institute of the Ural State Technical University”. Then the “Academic Humanitarian Institute” was renamed the “Ural Humanitarian Institute” based on the decision of the Meeting of Founders on September 30, 1995.
