Special environment for special childrenBeing gifted is not as easy as it may seem. In regular classrooms, children who exhibit above-average abilities often become “black sheep”; It happens that people start laughing at them and avoid communicating with them. Another difficulty that gifted children face is that they are too bored to study according to the standard curriculum. They complete tasks faster, and the rest of the time they don’t know what to do with themselves. It’s good if there are understanding teachers at school who will support you and come up with additional, more complex and interesting tasks. But not all disciplines provide the opportunity creative development student. Therefore, it is so important to create a supportive environment for gifted children, where they will feel among their own, where training program will allow you to develop and demonstrate extraordinary abilities.
The provincial lyceum sees its task as revealing the child’s talents. Giftedness here does not mean the presence of superpowers, but a love of knowledge and a desire to learn. The most important qualities for a lyceum student are determination and willingness to overcome difficulties.
Conditions of study and livingIt is possible to study at the lyceum both with accommodation in a boarding school and with accommodation at home. Boarding school is a rare chance to study in a high-status institution for children from remote areas of the Penza region. All nonresident students are provided with dorm rooms designed for three people and six meals a day.
Students can spend their free time practicing dancing, singing, and tennis; studying journalism or acquiring acting skills in a theater workshop. A natural science educational center has been created for joint preparation for the Olympiads. The children also take part in social projects, organize competitions and holidays. They play a lot of sports - after all, only trained children can handle such serious loads.
Education is free, money must be paid only for the child’s meals (1847 rubles per month for those who live in the lyceum; 923 rubles per month for those who live at home)*.
The entire teaching staff is the best teachers in Penza and university teachers who have the desire and ability to give children much more than what is provided school curriculum. The lyceum cooperates with PSU teachers, and even international cooperation has been organized with teachers from other countries. For lyceum students, excursions are conducted to the most interesting and modern enterprises of the city, this allows the student to make it easier for the student to choose a profession.

3) From June 11 to 20, the Provincial Lyceum will organize entrance fees for children who have passed the test well and want to enter the Provincial Lyceum. 04/27/2015 On Friday, April 24, the defense of projects created by the participants of the “IT village” will take place at the provincial lyceum for gifted children.
A total of 15 works will be presented for defense. Students and teachers of Penza University are invited to the event state university
, representatives of IT companies and the regional Ministry of Education.
Following the defense, an award ceremony will take place. Diplomas for distinguished participants of the IT Village project, head of the regional Ministry of Education Alexander Voronkov.
04/14/2015 On the basis of the provincial boarding lyceum for gifted children, from April 13 to 16, an auction of ideas “InnoTeens” is being held.
This is one of the key events of the regional comprehensive interdepartmental program for involving children and youth in innovative activities “1000-list-nick”. The idea auction program involves participants working on joint projects in the field natural sciences And, meetings with scientists, employees of Penza universities and research centers.
Schoolchildren will be able to get acquainted with the latest achievements and advanced developments.
Also, as part of the auction of ideas, an exhibition of innovative creativity of children and youth “Innovation” will be held. 02/26/2015 From February 24 to 27, the winter school “DomInno-2015” will operate on the basis of the provincial boarding lyceum for gifted children.
It is organized within the framework of the regional comprehensive interdepartmental program for involving children and youth in innovative activities “1000-list-nick”.
The DomInno winter school will be held for the third year in a row. This time more than 70 people will take part in its work. Among them are schoolchildren, winners of the “Novator-web” Internet competitions, as well as students of Penza universities.
Within the school, students will be distributed in six areas. Workshops, specialized hours, trainings, role-playing and intellectual games await them.
Leading scientists of the region, graduate students of universities, enterprise specialists, employees of youth innovative creativity centers and technology parks will study with them.
