Planning the gender of the child. How to plan the gender of your child. Programming the gender of the unborn baby How to predict the gender of the child before conception

Is it possible to program the gender of an unborn child? Feng Shui answers unequivocally: yes, it is possible. A person has the power to recover from a fatal disease solely by the power of autosuggestion, and programming the sex of a baby is much easier than it actually seems.

First of all, it is necessary to pay Special attention to your home. While you still have time, make a rearrangement so as to attract qi into your home and remove the “poisoned arrows” of the sha, because after that you cannot rearrange furniture and household items: by doing this you can disrupt the smooth movement of qi, and any disturbances are extremely harmful in your condition . We will not tell you how you can change the space, guided by the principles of Feng Shui; you can easily learn this yourself with the help of any Feng Shui encyclopedia.

Let's return to programming the baby's gender. Feng Shui masters advise dreaming about a child of a certain gender long before the expected conception. When thinking about your baby, imagine him, for example, playing with dolls (if you want a girl), endow him with certain traits.

From a scientific point of view, it is believed that excessive work of thought leads to the fact that the father’s body produces exactly those chromosomes that will lead to the birth of a child of a certain sex. We also do not advise you to determine the sex of the baby using ultrasound. Let this be a surprise for you!

You can program the sex of your child by making certain adjustments to your diet. Thus, Feng Shui experts advise including more meat and fish dishes, steamed or boiled, in your diet. Have you noticed that many boys are born in fishermen's families? Conversely, if you want to have a girl, then a few months before conception, begin to get used to vegetarian food. Of course, this does not mean that you should completely exclude meat from your diet if you love it very much. Just reduce the amount of meat or fish by half.

You can also use a special calendar for your child, compiled in accordance with the principles of Feng Shui. Horizontally - the month of conception, and vertically - the number of complete years of the woman. For example: you are 26 years old, the expected month of conception is October, which means you will most likely have a girl.

Child planning calendar taking into account the gender of the child

For the birth of a boy For the birth of a girl
Day after menstruation Baby's character Day after menstruation Baby's character
Fourth Soft, fragile body structure Fifth Likes animals
Sixth Cheerful, cheerful, healthy Seventh Luck accompanies everything
Eighth Lazy, pleasure-loving Ninth Artistic nature
Tenth Smart healthy Eleventh Should be strictly brought up, naughty
Twelfth Handsome, excellent health Thirteenth Lucky, good health
Fourteenth Smart, beautiful, healthy Fifteenth Will be a politician, will take good
position in society
Sixteenth Good character traits predominate

IN Ancient China A woman who wanted to give birth to a girl was recommended to sleep with her head facing south, and to give birth to a boy - to the north. In any case, a few weeks before the expected conception, start a special diet, and your husband should eat with you. You need to follow this diet for three to four weeks and after conception.

For the birth of a girl You should include the following foods in your diet:

Drinks: cocoa, milk tea, calcium mineral water, herbal teas.

From flour: all types of baked goods without yeast.

Meat: This should be avoided.

Fish: fresh sea fish.

From fruits: except bananas, oranges, cherries, plums and apricots, all the rest can be eaten.

Vegetables: carrots, cucumbers, beets, green vegetables, beans, peas, tomatoes, watercress, eggplant.

Sweets: honey, jam, sugar. Avoid sweets, cookies and baked goods.

From dairy products: all without exception.

Eggs: only if the woman loves them.

Let's clarify the last point. The fact is that, according to the principles of Feng Shui, only food that is eaten with pleasure can benefit a pregnant woman. There is nothing worse when you force beets into yourself just because they are healthy. In this case, the harmonious balance of yin-yang will be disrupted, and food at best will not bring any benefit, at worst - only harm.

For the birth of a boy You need to include the following foods in your diet:

Drinks: juices, green tea, soda mineral waters.

From flour: none. During this period, it is necessary to reduce bread consumption to a minimum.

From dairy: none.

From fruits: everything.

Meat: all types.

Fish: all types. Avoid any seafood (shrimp, squid, caviar).

From vegetables: avoid green vegetables, fresh cabbage.

In conclusion, let us remind you once again that in order to give birth to a boy, you need to give up any flour dishes.

Feng Shui experts remind you that a child’s character traits begin to develop even before birth. Just imagine: the baby is very tiny, the size of a pea, and he is destined to become an artist, a famous musician or an opera singer... Try to develop all the qualities that nature has given him. You are pregnant? This means you need to visit the theater much more often, listen to good music, while carefully monitoring your baby’s feelings.

Is planning the sex of a child realistic and what popular methods exist? We will try to figure it out with you. For most expectant mothers and fathers, the gender of the child is not important, the main thing is that the baby is born healthy and strong, and nature will decide whether it will be a boy or a girl, whose verdict will be final and irrevocable. But there are, of course, exceptions when parents want to decide everything themselves: when, who and what. Sometimes this reaches the point of absurdity, but when only girls or boys are born in a family, the parents can be understood. So cunning mothers and fathers resort to all sorts of tricks, trying to fool Mother Nature around their finger.

What determines the sex of a child from a scientific point of view

An egg containing an X chromosome is fertilized by a sperm containing an X or Y chromosome. The fusion of two X chromosomes, XX, results in a girl, and the fusion of X and Y chromosomes, XY, results in a boy.

Ovulatory method of planning the gender of a child

According to the ovulatory method, proposed in the 70s of the 20th century by the Polish doctor Frantisek Benedo, sex planning depends on the characteristics of the X and Y chromosomes in sperm. The fact is that Y-sperm are much smaller than X-sperm, which allows them to be faster and more mobile, and, accordingly, reach the coveted finish line first. But they are not very tenacious, while the slow and clumsy X-sperm are able to remain viable in the female genital tract for several days after sexual intercourse. Adherents of the ovulatory method of planning the sex of a child argue that if fertilization occurs on the day of ovulation, a boy will most likely be born, and a few days after or a few days before ovulation, a girl will be born. This method can also be explained by the fact that the internal environment of the vagina changes at different periods of the monthly cycle. Thus, as ovulation approaches, it becomes more alkaline, which is beneficial for vulnerable Y-sperm, and in the period before and after ovulation, the vaginal environment is more acidic, which the more hardy X-sperm can tolerate. Although the technique is characterized by a fairly high accuracy, amounting to about 87%, it cannot give an absolute guarantee, because The menstrual cycle can vary depending on various external and internal factors.

Planning the gender of the child using the blood renewal method

If you believe the blood renewal method, the sex of the child depends on the strength (youth) of the blood of the father or mother. It is believed that the blood of men and women is renewed at different cycles: in men – once every four years, in women – once every three years. When planning the sex of a child using the blood renewal method, the mother’s age at the time of conception must be divided by three, and the father’s age by four. Whose remainder turns out to be larger will have younger, and therefore stronger, blood, which will accordingly affect the sex of the child. It should be taken into account that if the mother’s blood is Rh negative, then everything will be exactly the opposite. It is also necessary to take into account whether there were significant blood losses of various etiologies. If blood loss has occurred, the count should be kept not from the date of birth, but from the day of blood loss. It is difficult to say how reasonable and effective it is to entrust sex planning to the blood renewal method, because there are no statistical or experimental data.

Mode of sexual activity

This theory is based on the research of biologist Vigen Geodakyan and Vladimir Kamalyan. Geodekyan suggested that the birth of more boys during the war years is associated with more intense sexual activity before the long separation of men going to war. And Kamalyan, in turn, noticed that in the families of geologists participating in long expeditions, only 35-36 girls are born per hundred boys. He explained this by the sexual activity of geologists after a long separation. In contrast to geologists, he gave the example of physicists who lead a more sedentary lifestyle and are fathers of mostly girls. All these facts were presented in the work “Sex Ratio in Families of Geologists and Physicists.” Thus, if sex planning and sexual activity are interconnected, then for the birth of a daughter or son, respectively, strengthen and increase intimate life or, conversely, reduce it to a minimum by throwing sex out of your head and immersing yourself in work, sports and all the joys of the head of the family.

Mother's age

The age-based method of planning the sex of a child is based on 20 years of observation and research by Elena Shamrina, who established the dependence of the sex of the unborn child on the odd or even age of the woman. For a woman of even age, it is possible to conceive a girl in even months of the year, and for an odd age - in odd months; This can also be taken into account during late pregnancy. To conceive a male child, everything happens exactly the opposite. It is also important that during the selected period for conception, ovulation occurs in the middle of the month, in otherwise the likelihood of having a child of the desired sex decreases.

French diet

In accordance with this method, planning the gender of the child requires adjusting the diet of the expectant mother. So, to give birth to a boy, a woman should eat spicy and salty foods rich in potassium and sodium ions, excluding foods containing calcium and magnesium. For the birth of a girl, on the contrary, dairy products and greens should predominate, and the consumption of spicy and salty foods should be kept to a minimum. Some believe that the diet should be followed for three weeks before conception not only by women, but also by future dads. It is difficult to say whether the method will be effective for a particular couple, but excluding dairy products, eggs and fresh fruit from the diet of “mothers of boys” can really have consequences.

Scientific method

The only reliable scientific method for planning the gender of a child is this moment is the selection or separation of sperm using electrophoresis, in which the father's sperm are “accelerated” to the negative and positive poles, sending girls in one direction and boys in the other, followed by in vitro fertilization. The disadvantage of the method is the negative impact of the electric field on the sperm, which can lead to mutagenic effects and other undesirable consequences.

Ancient methods of planning the sex of a child

  • In Ancient China, there was an opinion that in order to conceive a boy during an act of love, a woman should lie with her head to the north, and to give birth to a girl, she should lie with her head to the south.
  • The Talmud states that if a man finishes intercourse first, a boy will be born.
  • Ancient aesculapians believed that boys appear from the left testicle, and girls from the right, therefore various manipulations and recipes were widely used, supposedly activating the work of a particular testicle. In worst case scenarios, it was even proposed to remove the “unnecessary” testicle.
  • Sometimes planning took place with very unpredictable auxiliary means, for example, with an ax. In the Middle Ages, men dreaming of a son placed an ax on the marital bed under the pillow and, taking it out at the most interesting moment, strictly ordered their wife: “May you have a boy!” To give birth to a daughter, a woman was put on a hat and showered with tender words.
  • The Germans have long been convinced that making love in rainy weather results in the birth of a girl, and in dry weather - in the birth of a boy.

Video opinion of a geneticist about planning

Experiment with various methods planning the gender of a child is, of course, possible, but you should always remember that no method gives a 100% guarantee, so you need to be prepared for any final result, happily meeting both a boy and a girl. It is important that the child, regardless of gender, is desired and feels it with every cell of his tiny body and every part of his soul.

Katerina Bagatskaya

IN modern world people are used to planning everything in advance. Indeed, it is easier for a person to live and work in this mode. Certainly not. Currently, there are no means yet that will help in the production of male sperm with a certain set of chromosomes. Even for a lot of money you will not be able to find such medicines. That is why married couples resort to alternative methods of planning the gender of their unborn child. Among them, the most popular are the following methods.

Method for calculating ovulation in planning the sex of a child

How to plan the gender of a child based on ovulation? Everything is very simple. However, before taking action, it is worth getting acquainted with some information.

Scientists have proven that sperm that carry male gametes, more mobile and faster. However, they live in the woman's genitals for a short time. On average it takes 2-3 days. The same cells that have female chromosomes, can move much slower. However, their survival in such an environment is up to one week. Based on the information received, a simple conclusion can be drawn. If you want to give birth to a boy, then you should have sexual intercourse as close as possible to the day of ovulation. Conceiving a female baby involves intimacy about a week before the expected date of release of the egg.

How to plan the gender of a child using this method? Just calculate the woman's ovulation date. Currently, there are many ways to make such a diagnosis. The most popular are ultrasonography, the use of test systems, measuring basal temperature and so on. When using several methods at once, it allows you to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the calculation. Often a woman, even without the help of outside means, knows when her egg will release from the follicle. This greatly simplifies the calculation process.

Application of Chinese table

Even the ancient Chinese figured out how to plan the sex of a child. They developed a special table. This technique was created over many years. To carry out the calculation, it is necessary to have accurate data on the age of the expectant mother at the time of conception and the month of fertilization of the egg. For example, a woman in her 20s is more likely to conceive a boy during the spring and summer months. Whereas a twenty-five-year-old representative of the fairer sex can have a son only after conception in the autumn and winter periods.

How to plan the gender of your unborn child in this way? Just use the table to determine the months in which you should get the baby you want. This is when you should have unprotected sex with your partner. It is worth saying that doctors are distrustful of this technique. This is due to the fact that, by and large, the gender of the unborn baby depends solely on the man. However this method on how to plan the sex of a child, the reviews are mostly positive. Couples note that, thanks to the calculation, they were able to give birth to the desired son or daughter.

Calculation using the Japanese method

How to plan the gender of your unborn child? You can benefit from the knowledge of Japanese sages. They created a table consisting of two parts. One of them presents data on the month of birth of a man and a woman. All you have to do is find your own cells and draw straight lines from them. At the intersection of the values you will see a number. It is decisive and calculated for the following table. Find the resulting number in the upper range. After that, go down and determine which months are more likely to conceive a boy or a girl. The probability of having a child of the desired gender is indicated by the letters ...xxx... The more of them, the higher the chance of conceiving a girl or a boy, respectively.

How to plan the gender of your unborn baby using this method? Just do the math. Find out in which months the birth rate of a boy or a girl is higher. Based on this, have sexual intercourse without protection. Remember that this method is not 100 percent reliable.

How to plan the sex of a child based on blood type?

European doctors scientific centers developed this method of calculating the predisposition of the future baby. It is known that in males, the blood undergoes renewal every four years. While his partner is exposed to this effect once every 36 months. Doctors say that a baby will be born of the exact gender whose blood was fresh at the time of conception. It is worth saying that Russian scientists are not inclined to trust this method.

How to plan the sex of a child based on blood renewal? Everything is very simple. Take the age of the future father and divide it by four. Do the same with a woman's years. However, in this case, divide by three. After that, make a basic comparison. Whoever has the smaller balance, the blood of that person is considered fresher. Accordingly, the baby will be born male or female. This calculation method must take into account facts such as donation, blood transfusion, childbirth or major surgery. Any heavy blood loss leads to a shift in the process of blood renewal.

Diet

How to plan the gender of the child in advance? French scientists have found that the nutrition of men and women plays a big role in this process. Experiments have confirmed that this method works in approximately 80 percent of cases. However, modern doctors categorically do not recognize this fact. They argue that what people eat has no effect on the release of certain chromosomes in male sperm.

How to plan the gender of a child (boy)? The French say that you need to eat foods that contain large amounts of potassium and sodium about two months before sexual intercourse. Such products include potatoes, mushrooms different varieties, lean meat. Also, cherries, bananas, oranges and apricots contain the necessary elements in sufficient quantities. You should avoid fresh vegetables, herbs, dairy products, and some dried fruits.

How to plan the gender of a child (girl)? For this to the expectant mother you need to follow a dairy diet. Try to consume large quantities of kefir, sour cream, and cheese. Prefer meat dishes healthy vegetables. Eat tomatoes, green salad, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, cabbage.

Lunar or zodiac planning method

Astrologers and some scientists note that the effectiveness of this method is at the level of 80 percent. In this case, it is necessary to understand the signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon. To carry out such calculations, you should contact specialists and professionals. This will increase the likelihood of a positive outcome.

How to calculate using this method? First, find out what zodiac sign the moon is in at the time you are planning to conceive a baby. After that, draw the next parallel. When a star passes through the signs of water and earth, then most likely you will get a girl. These signs include Pisces, Capricorn, Scorpio, Virgo, Cancer and Taurus. When the moon is in the zone of fire and air signs, there is a high probability of the birth of a boy. These meanings include Gemini, Aquarius, Leo and Libra, as well as Aries and Sagittarius.

Use of folk signs

How to plan the gender of your future baby before conception? Healers and grandmothers can help you with this. They probably know a number of signs that will help them give birth to a boy or a girl.

To make a female baby, it is recommended to place a comb, mirror or thread under the pillow. These items should be in your bed not only during sexual intercourse. But throughout menstrual cycle. To conceive a boy, you can use nails, an ax or any other male instrument. They also talk about the influence of the day of the week on which fertilization occurred. Thus, women's and men's days are separated. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday “promise” a girl. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday guarantee the conception of a boy. It is worth remembering that on Sunday everything is more complicated. On this day, fate rules independently and presents many surprises.

Genealogical calculation

You can plan the sex of your future baby even before conception using basic calculations. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into two parts. In one of them, enter all female relatives, in the other, respectively, male relatives. Try to consider only the next three generations. Otherwise, the method may simply be ineffective. After you finish entering, count the number of relatives. Whoever turns out to be larger, the baby of that gender will most likely be born.

Remember that this technique does not always give an accurate result. Otherwise, only girls or only boys would be born into families. The genealogical method of gender planning was created more for entertainment than for obtaining accurate data.

How can you plan the gender of your child before conception?

Currently, there are many special offices and salons in which fortune tellers and healers provide their services. They promise to determine the sex of the unborn baby and help give birth to the desired son or daughter. It is worth saying that medicine categorically does not recognize such methods. However, people go to great lengths to achieve the desired effect. Remember: contacting such establishments does not give you any guarantee that everything will go as you planned. Perhaps it will all end with the charlatans deceiving your expectations.

Many married couples say that they still managed to give birth to a child of the desired gender this way. Experts and scientists note that this is more like a coincidence than reality.

The most effective way to plan the sex of the unborn child even before the moment of conception: medical

Currently, there is one most accurate method for calculating the gender of an unborn baby. With its help, you can have a 100% chance of having a boy or a girl. You will also be able to plan not one, but several children at the same time. This method is called in vitro fertilization. It was developed several decades ago. Now couples who cannot conceive a child on their own resort to him.

This method is also used in cases where there is a high probability of having a child with a pathology. Moreover, its presence directly depends on gender. So, there are families who need to give birth to a girl because the boy may be born unhealthy. In this case, doctors simply remove several eggs from the woman’s body before ovulation. The man supplies his genetic material (sperm). Fertilization occurs in a special favorable environment. After this, doctors grow the resulting cells for several days and determine their gender predisposition. Next comes the most crucial moment. Specialists select the necessary material (only boys or exclusively girls) and perform a transplant. The embryos are placed in the uterus of a woman who is fully prepared to carry and give birth to these babies. Often such manipulation requires taking many medications.

It is worth noting that this method of calculating the sex of a child even before conception is recognized as the most effective. However, it is very expensive. So, one in vitro fertilization procedure will cost you from 100 to 300 thousand rubles. It is not performed in all medical institutions. This requires certain equipment and professional laboratory assistants.

Summing up the article

You now know how to plan the sex of a child by blood, using ancient tables and so on. Please remember that all these calculations are approximate. Most doctors do not officially recognize them, although sometimes they themselves resort to this technique.

When planning the sex of your baby before conception, try to apply all of the methods described. In this case, the likelihood of having the desired boy or girl will increase. You shouldn’t rely too much on these calculation methods. Otherwise, you may be upset later. Despite positive reviews, many methods are simply ineffective. When calculation promises the birth of a son, a girl is often born. And vice versa. To avoid such awkward situations, treat such methods with greater leniency. If necessary, seek advice from reproductive specialists and gynecologists. Happy calculations and successful planning!

Many couples thinking about having a child dream of having a boy or, conversely, a girl. Such thoughts have visited people since ancient times. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that there are so many signs and myths on this topic. Let's try to figure out what factors can really influence gender of the unborn child from a scientific point of view, and which are in the category of fantasy. So how do you know who the stork will bring?

Are some women’s bodies “programmed” to give birth to girls, while others are “programmed” to give birth to boys?

This is a very common myth that has no basis in reality. This also includes a popular folk belief. It says: a couple will have a child of the gender of the spouse who loves his other half more.

Let's turn to physiology. As you know, the human body consists of cells. Each cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes, 22 of which are almost identical and only one pair, responsible for sex, has significant differences.

In women, both sex chromosomes are the same; they are shaped like the Latin letter X, hence the name - X chromosome. In men, one chromosome is similar to the female one, and the other is shaped like the Latin letter Ig. It’s called the Y chromosome.

For a couple to have a child, male and female reproductive cells must meet (sperm and egg, respectively). Each of these cells carries half the genetic code. And if all eggs are carriers of the X chromosome, then sperm can be carriers of both the X and Y chromosomes. Thus, if the egg is fertilized by X, a sperm, then a girl will be born, and if Y, then a boy will be born.

It follows from this that the main responsibility for the gender of the unborn baby lies with the man, not the woman. Of course, there are families where only girls or only boys are born, in this case it is a matter of genetic predisposition, that is, the characteristics of the seminal fluid (large X or Y-sperm).

Conceiving a boy is possible only in the middle of the menstrual cycle, the rest of the time you will get girls

We can say that this point is true. This method is suitable for planning gender of the unborn child. Every month, under the influence of pituitary hormones, female body, namely in the ovary a small vesicle matures, which is called follicle. About halfway through the cycle, it bursts and releases the egg. This phenomenon is called ovulation. After leaving the ovary, the egg enters the fallopian tube and moves towards the uterus. The egg cell has the ability to fertilize for approximately 24 hours.

As studies have shown, X sperm are larger and slower, and Y sperm are faster and smaller. But sperm with male chromosomes live less (1 day) than carriers of female hereditary information (5 - 7 days). On average, sperm reach the egg in 2 - 3.5 hours. Thus, if sexual intercourse occurred in ovulation period the chance of having a boy increases.

To use this method, you need to know exactly the date of ovulation. One of the most simple methods Determining the exact date of ovulation are test strips that allow you to evaluate the concentration of luteinizing hormone. Before ovulation, its level rises sharply. The test allows you to determine this jump, which indicates the onset of ovulation within 48 hours from the moment it was carried out.

There are also high-precision devices that determine the onset of ovulation using saliva. The essence of this method is that due to the increase estrogen levels Before ovulation, a woman's saliva crystallizes when it dries; under a microscope, frost-like patterns can be seen. This phenomenon is called fern effect.

There is another way to determine ovulation. Measuring basal temperature and plotting a temperature curve. The temperature in the rectum is measured every morning without getting out of bed. Before ovulation begins, the temperature may drop by 0.5 degrees Celsius from normal. During the period when ovulation begins, on the contrary, it increases and can reach 37.3 degrees. This temperature lasts for several days. When treating infertility, the period of ovulation is determined using ultrasound.

Protein diets for the birth of boys, and carbohydrate diets for the birth of girls

The myth that X-chromosome carriers better tolerate an environment saturated with certain substances, while Y-chromosome carriers need others, has not been confirmed by anything. Moreover, it is dangerous, primarily for the health of the unborn baby.

Any organism retains homeostasis– maintains a constant internal environment, and chemical composition Same. To shift this indicator, a person must deliberately provoke a deficiency of some substances or an excess of others. Which can, in turn, lead to various disorders in the body, including sexual dysfunction, for example, impair fertility (the ability to conceive). And this will definitely not affect gender of the unborn child.

But a lack of some substances, as well as an excess of others, can cause various developmental disorders in the baby. So, with protein deficiency, a deficiency occurs folic acid, which provokes malformations of the central nervous system and spine. A carbohydrate diet leads to a deficiency of B vitamins and iodine in the body. And this may subsequently affect the child’s mental abilities.

The time of year affects the conception of a child of a certain gender

There is a popular belief that boys are more likely to be born during autumn conception, and girls are more likely to be born during spring conception. This method of planning the gender of a child is based on the fact that more favorable conditions are needed for the survival of Y sperm. In autumn, as you know, there are more vitamins. Girls have more chances. None scientific research There are no people who can confirm this method yet. The only advantage of this method of planning the gender of the unborn child is safety.

Frequent visits to the bathhouse increases the likelihood of having a girl

Another unsubstantiated myth. This option for planning the sex of a child can be classified, like diets, as dangerous to health. When overheated, the activity of sperm decreases, some of them die, and anatomical changes may occur in another part. According to statistics, men who like to take a steam bath twice a week have a higher risk than those who visit the sauna less often.

Any disease associated with an increase in body temperature also leads to a deterioration in the quality of seminal fluid. This threat can last up to 3 months (the period of maturation of sperm in the testicles).

Planning the sex of a child based on “youth of blood”

There is another myth about how you can plan gender of the unborn child. According to this method, in women and men, the blood is periodically renewed (in women, once every 3 years, and in men, once every 4 years, respectively). To calculate the blood age, you need to divide the parent's age by 3 for women and by 4 for men. Whoever has the higher number, the spouse has “younger” blood, which means stronger. Accordingly, the child will be of the same gender as the parent with younger blood.

It must be borne in mind that the blood is renewed during various injuries, operations, childbirth, when donating blood, etc. Although experts claim that the accuracy of this method is 60 - 80%, science has great doubts about this. As you know, blood consists of plasma and formed elements(blood cells). The plasma is completely renewed within a few days. Blood cells have a very short lifespan: red blood cells (erythrocytes) live on average 120 days, the lifespan of leukocytes can be only a few hours, or maybe several months. Platelets live only 10 – 12 days. What part of the blood is renewed every 3-4 years and how this can affect the germ cells remains a mystery.

Chinese and Japanese tables for planning the sex of a child

There are so-called Chinese tables that help calculate gender of the unborn child using maternal age and month of conception. The ancient Chinese sages apparently did not know that the man is responsible for the gender of the offspring.

The people of Japan have not advanced much further in this sense. Their tables take into account the date of birth of both mother and father, and also, as in the previous method, the month of conception. It turns out that one couple in one specific month can only have a child of a certain gender.

There are many refutations to this. Many families have children of different sexes born in the same month.

Parents' sexual activity can affect the gender of the unborn child

This assumption has a right to exist, since with frequent sexual intercourse (daily or at least every other day), the probability of fertilization of the egg with Y-sperm increases (sexual intercourse may coincide with ovulation), in which case there will be a boy. If the marriage rate is low, then the likelihood of having a girl increases.

You can plan the gender of your unborn child!

Modern scientific technologies now really allow you to choose gender of the unborn child. This can be done through the IVF procedure. In this case, conception occurs in vitro, in laboratory conditions, and not in the woman’s body.

Before transferring the embryo into the uterine cavity, preimplantation genetic diagnosis is performed, which is testing the set of chromosomes of the embryo. In addition to gender, this type of research identifies up to 150 types of hereditary genetic diseases. This allows you to reduce the risk of developing various pathologies in the unborn child. Currently, in our country, sex determination research is carried out only when one or both future parents are carriers of severe genetic diseases such as hemophilia, muscular dystrophy etc. Note that the effectiveness of such diagnostics for choosing the sex of an heir is 100%.

Probably each of us will agree that a child is an extraordinary gift. And does it matter whether it’s a boy or a girl? The main thing is that the baby is born healthy!

American scientists have developed a method for separating sperm containing the X chromosome (when an egg is fertilized with such sperm, a female embryo is formed) from sperm containing the Y chromosome (which, accordingly, produces a boy).

The method is based on determining the amount of genetic material contained in cells. Sperm with a Y chromosome contain approximately 2.8% less DNA than sperm with an X chromosome.

The procedure consists of several stages: (1) DNA staining; (2) sorting sperm according to the amount of DNA and (3) separating sperm with X chromosomes from sperm with Y chromosomes. The entire process is quite labor-intensive: it takes a whole day to process one sperm sample.

However, even this method cannot be called fail-safe. Moreover, it is interesting that the spermatozoa responsible for conceiving girls turned out to be “more obedient”: at the end of the described procedure, 85% of the spermatozoa in the experimental sperm sample contained the X chromosome. Boys, as usual, are more stubborn: the maximum content of male germ cells with Y chromosomes was only 65%.

The developed method is designed to help couples who are at risk of having a child with a genetic disease that selectively affects only people of a certain gender (only men or only women).

The editors of the journal know nothing about specific cases of the use of this very expensive method in Russia.

"Folk" methods

There are many “folk” signs and rituals that supposedly guarantee the conception of a child of a certain gender. Most experts consider these methods absolutely meaningless, and positive results are more random, psychologically conditioned or intuitively predicted by future parents. Stubborn statistics do not give the green light to any of the “folk” methods of gender planning.

If you combine all such methods (ancient Chinese and ancient Japanese tables for planning the sex of a child can be found on the Internet), you can get the following instructions:

To conceive a boy It is necessary in even years of your life to plan conception for odd months or in odd years - for even ones (the month number is divided by 2), have sex at night when there is a month in the sky, and not a full moon, and there is no precipitation. The bedroom should be cool, the window should be open, you should lie with your head facing north, you should put some “masculine” attribute under the pillow - a toy gun, a car, or, at worst, a can of beer. Those couples where the husband loves his wife more than she loves him have a greater chance of conceiving a son. During sexual intercourse, a man should achieve orgasm earlier than a woman, and after sex, future parents are advised to remain awake for a long time. Before the onset of the important night, for at least three weeks, a woman should eat meat and fish products, with the exception of crabs, shrimp and caviar, fresh and dry fruits, potatoes, mushrooms, drink tea, coffee, forgetting about milk and dairy products, as well as bread and egg yolks. All dishes must be salted, and do not be afraid to eat canned food. Before the crucial hour, the husband should wash his testicles cold water, which will increase sperm activity.

To conceive a girl The year and month the pregnancy began must be either even or odd. The day should be rainy, the moon phase should be full moon. In these cases, you need to have sex in the evening, in a room painted pink, lie with your head facing south, and put a pink ribbon under the pillow. The window should be closed, and the air in the room should be scented with perfume or deodorant. Girls are guaranteed to couples where the wife is more sexually active and loves her husband more than he loves her. Following a dairy diet helps in conceiving a girl; fish, bread, carrots, cucumbers, greens are allowed, the consumption of dried fruits and meat is limited, carbonated water, salt and spices are excluded. The girl's future father should warm his genitals with warm underwear to reduce the activity of male reproductive cells.

All of the methods listed are quite absurd and have no scientific basis, but with strong faith in them, they may show some effectiveness. You should be especially careful when following the described diets, since none of them is balanced and complete in composition, which can adversely affect the health of the mother and child.

"New Blood"

One of the frequently discussed methods has the sonorous name “blood renewal”. It is believed that in men, blood is renewed every 4 years, and in women - every 3 years. If a person has had some kind of surgery or blood loss during his life, then the countdown begins not from the day of birth, but from the date of this blood loss. Thus, the age or time since the last blood loss is divided by 4 in men, and by 3 in women (with Rh-negative blood in the mother, the opposite is true - for men the denominator will be 3, and for women - 4). Whoever has the larger balance (mom or dad) has “younger”, stronger blood, therefore, the child will be of the same gender. The method has not received any scientific justification.

From a scientific point of view

According to medical statistics, on average, 106 boys are born per 100 girls. Even more male embryos are produced, but they are more vulnerable. This initial imbalance of the sexes compensates for the large losses of male representatives during prenatal period, in the first year and throughout life. Male embryos, like boys in their first year of life, die more often. Dangerous games, male professions, wars, addiction to addictions, unfortunately, often lead to the death of adult men, and the average life expectancy of the stronger sex in almost all countries of the world is less than that of women. Therefore, gradually the initial imbalance is leveled out, and by reproductive age the sex ratio approaches equilibrium: 1 to 1.

The sex cells of a man and a woman - sperm and eggs - carry half the set of genetic material - chromosomes: one sex chromosome and 22 somatic (non-sex) chromosomes. Thus, the sperm and the egg contain 23 chromosomes. When these cells merge during the process of fertilization, the individual genotype of a new person is formed - either 46 XX or 46 XY. Sex is determined by the combination of two sex chromosomes: the combination XX is inherent in the female sex, and XY - in the male sex. In any woman, all eggs contain one X chromosome (there are simply no other sex chromosomes in the female body). There are two types of sperm in men: those with an X chromosome and those with a Y chromosome. If the egg is fertilized by an X sperm, a girl will be born, if Y, a son will appear in the family. Thus, The gender of the future baby depends ONLY ON THE MAN! Therefore, disappointments, dissatisfaction with the gender of the newborn baby and complaints against his wife on the part of the new father, sometimes reaching anecdotal situations and oddities, are completely unfounded. For the same reason, all methods of planning the baby’s gender related to the expectant mother (calculating her age, day and month of birth, diet, etc.) are absolutely unfounded. A woman of any age, with any diet, can give her baby only an X chromosome, and responsibility for the second chromosome - X or Y, which complements the necessary set, on which it will depend on whether she will bear and give birth to a son or daughter - lies entirely with the child’s father .

It must be said that some floor planning methods are based on scientifically proven facts.

Sex planning based on ovulation date

The method is based on the existing difference between X- and Y-spermatozoa. The X chromosome is much larger and “heavier” than the Y chromosome. Therefore, X-sperm are slower, but much more resilient and viable than their faster Y-brothers. Fertilization of an egg by a sperm is possible only after its release from the ovary, i.e. after ovulation. If sexual intercourse took place several days before ovulation, then the likelihood of giving birth to a girl increases - most likely, only long-living, hardy X-spermatozoa remain in the woman’s genital tract, which will receive the honorable mission of fertilization. If future parents manage to guess the day of ovulation, abstaining from sex for at least a week before this day, and sexual intercourse occurs on the day of ovulation, then the likelihood of conceiving a boy increases: light and extremely mobile Y-sperm will be the first to reach the egg, ahead of the heavier X-sperm. spermatozoa.

Another one of scientific explanations This method consists of changing the pH of the vaginal secretion depending on hormonal fluctuations during the cycle: 2-3 days before ovulation, the environment in the vagina is more acidic, which contributes to a faster death of Y-sperm. In other words, if sexual intercourse occurs before ovulation, then the “boy” sperm die. During ovulation, the pH of the environment slightly increases (alkalinizes), which preserves the more vulnerable carriers of the male chromosome. Thus, to increase the likelihood of conceiving a boy, it is necessary that sexual intercourse occurs on the day of ovulation or immediately after it.

Dependence of the child's gender on the sexual activity of the parents

With high sexual activity, frequent, regular sexual activity (sexual intercourse occurs daily or every other day), boys are more often born (the likelihood of fertilization by fast Y-sperm is higher). With low sexual activity, the likelihood of having a girl increases (X-sperm “wait” for ovulation in the woman’s genital tract, since they are viable up to 4-5 days after intercourse).

The method is effective in 80% of cases. True, it is difficult to use for women with an irregular cycle, in which it is difficult to determine the pattern and exact day of ovulation. It should be taken into account that even in healthy women with a fairly regular menstrual cycle, the date of ovulation may shift.

Practical advice. It is necessary to determine the time of ovulation over several cycles or according to the basal temperature chart (with the normal course of the menstrual cycle before ovulation, the temperature in the rectum is below 37 degrees C, on the eve of ovulation the temperature additionally decreases by several tenths of a degree, and after ovulation it rises to 37 degrees C and above ), or using daily ultrasound - from approximately the 10th day of the menstrual cycle until the release of the egg from the ovary. Ultrasound clearly shows the maturing (dominant) follicle containing the egg. It disappears after ovulation, and in its place is formed corpus luteum, also diagnosed by an ultrasound doctor. Some women subjectively feel ovulation, for example, they feel pain in the lower abdomen, nausea, and note the release of ovulatory mucus from the genital tract on the day of ovulation - such mucus is viscous and quite abundant. When planning to conceive a daughter, sexual intercourse should be 2-3 days before the calculated date of ovulation; if you want to conceive a son, you should abstain from sex at least 2-3 days before ovulation, and have sexual intercourse within 24 hours after the release of the egg from the ovary.

Separation of spermatozoa into X and Y using special procedures

Spermatozoa are separated in an electric field, using laser technology, and flow cytometry (staining sperm with special dyes and then dividing them into 2 types). After performing one of these procedures, the egg is fertilized in a test tube with a selected sperm, an embryo of the desired sex is obtained and it is introduced into the uterine cavity (IVF).

Even this scientifically proven method does not provide a 100% guarantee. In addition, possible genetic changes when using various artificial sperm sorting procedures are not fully understood. And the selection of embryos of a certain sex is practically the same as selective abortion. In addition, IVF is an expensive method. Although in the future, it is possible that sperm separation will help solve the problem of preventing hereditary diseases associated with gender.

Thus, none of the listed methods provides a 100% guarantee of the desired result. In addition, it is important to remember that the birth of a healthy child of any gender - a son or daughter - into a family is the most significant and happiest event.
