The best auto lamps h4 with white light. Which H4 halogen bulbs to choose

Test car lamps with increased light output in the H4 base. Of the numbers on the packages indicating an increase in light, “+ 30%” is almost the most modest. And so “+60%”, “+90%”, and some promise all “+100%” of light! Fantasy draws a road flooded with bright light in the middle of the midnight darkness ... To find out which lamps are better, the editorial staff of the AvtoDela magazine bought 12 sets of headlight lamps with increased light output in Moscow auto shops and turned to the laboratory of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Research and Experimental Institute of Automotive Electronics and Electrical Equipment (NIIAAE) to conduct a test according to the methodology established by the UNECE Rules No. 37-03 and UNECE No. 112-00. The headlight with the lamp installed in it was placed in a dark room, where the required GOST light border. The operator measured the illumination at control points and compared it with the requirements of the rules. The points at which measurements are made are designated as follows: 0-0 - a point characterizing the light of the vehicle in front through the rear-view mirror; B50L - a point characterizing the blindness of the driver of an oncoming car; 75R and 50R - points characterizing the illumination of the right shoulder. Koito VWhite - H4 headlight lamp, test The Koito Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1915, at the same time that it released its first invention, used for signal lamps on railways, which improved the visibility of the tracks, which made it possible to increase the safety of transportation of both passengers and goods. This was the beginning of the development of the Koito Corporation, which specializes in the production of lighting products for various kinds transport. Now one of the main activities of Koito is the production of automotive lamps and lighting systems. Today, Koito supplies all the largest Japanese automobile factories and is highly appreciated by its scientific research and developments. Successful testing of the company's products in the Paris-Dakar rally and other off-road competitions gives the company grounds to be called a leading manufacturer of automotive lamps and lighting systems. DESIGN FEATURES In addition to standard lamps, Koito's range includes lamps with increased light output, which include the Koito VWhite H4 model. According to the manufacturer, the high-temperature VWHITE lamps provide twice the brightness of the glow, while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. This is achieved due to the fact that the glow temperature of the lamp filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten of the filament from burning out, the concentration of an inert gas is increased in the flask. At the same time, it is pumped into the bulb of the lamp under pressure twice that of a standard lamp. safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. Also, since the electric power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), the lamp also does not emit excess heat - no more than a standard one. Due to such technical innovations Colorful temperature light is increased to 3700K, which improves the color perception of the driver. The lamps are sold in pairs in a transparent plastic package with a red label written in Japanese characters. We want to warn readers right away that you should not be afraid of the declared power value of 100/90 W: with these figures, the manufacturer is trying to emphasize the increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so you can safely put them in a car. TEST RESULTS Measurement of electrical power consumption at a test voltage of 13.2 V showed that the lamp is fully within the parameters declared by European regulations, and the Koito VWhite H4 lamp is completely safe for car wiring . In this case, the luminous flux of the filament (both for the near and for high beam) fully fits into the range established by GOST, and is 1500 lm for high beam and 930 lm for low beam. At the cut-off line, the Koito VWhite H4 lamp showed good geometry, forming the correct beam. The light from headlights with installed Koito VWhite lamps will not dazzle oncoming drivers, since the illumination at the control point at a value of 44 lm is within the limits established for serial production. Measurements of the illumination value at the 0-0 point showed that the lamp fits into the requirements of GOST and will not dazzle the driver ahead: if the illumination requirement is less than 0.7 lm, the Koito VWhite illumination does not exceed 0.61 lm. lm, and also well illuminates the zone of the far curb - 11.5 lm. SUMMARY OF ADVANTAGES Increased light output. Clear cut-off line. Protection against dazzle of oncoming and passing traffic. DISADVANTAGES All labels are in Japanese. GE MegaLight Ultra - H4 headlight lamp, test General Electric, or GE, as a manufacturer of lamps for the home, has long been known to Russian consumers. Before the crisis, the company was also well represented in the automotive segment. Now their market share has greatly decreased, and it is not so easy to find headlights under the GE brand. DESIGN FEATURES GE MegaLight Ultra headlights in the H4 base are sold in pairs in a simple paper box painted in gray-lilac colors. The lamp bulb is colorless, with a blue stripe in the upper part of the bulb, and the bulb cap is painted with silver paint. Some dark spot at the top of the right illumination zone and a bright spot above the control line to the right of the center. Light from headlights with GE MegaLight Ultra lamps installed is unsafe for the driver and does not meet the safety requirements of GOST, as it will dazzle both oncoming and passing drivers. With the requirement for illumination at the B50L point of no more than 0.4 lm, the illumination with the installed GE MegaLight Ultra lamp was 0.73 lm. For the 0-0 point, the measured value of 1.05 lm is 50% higher than the requirements of European regulations. In terms of illumination of the curb area, the lamp fits into the requirements. The illumination values at the test points 75R and 50R were 12 and 22.6 lm, respectively. It should be noted that one lamp from the set burned out during the tests. One bulb burned out during testing. GENERAL SCORE GE MegaLight Ultra headlight bulbs in the H4 base will dazzle both oncoming and ahead drivers when installed in a vehicle. GE SpotLight Silver - H4 headlight lamp, test DESIGN FEATURES GE SportLight Silver headlamps in H4 base are sold in pairs in a simple blue-painted paper box. The lamp bulb has a soft blue tint and the bulb cap is painted silver. GE claims that the luminous flux of the lamp is increased by 50%. According to the manufacturer, the GE SportLight Silver lamp uses Superblue technology to create a "cold light". The manufacturer's website says that the technology consists in using blue-tinted quartz glass for the manufacture of the bulb. It also claims to use Megalight Plus technology - an increased luminous flux, which is achieved due to improved internal geometry, due to which the area of the illuminated part of the road increases (especially at a distance 30 to 80 meters from the machine with right side), the contours of the light spot become sharper, obstacles are better seen, road signs, and there is no need for additional headlights.TEST RESULTSMeasuring the electrical power consumption of GE SportLight Silver showed that the lamp did not exceed the permissible parameters. The light from headlights with GE SportLight Silver lamps installed will not dazzle either oncoming or passing drivers, since with an illumination value of 0.38 lm for the B50L point and 0.7 lm for the 0-0 point, the values \u200b\u200bare in line with the requirements of European regulations. In terms of illumination of the curb area, the lamp meets the requirements of serial production. The illumination values at the 75R and 50R test points were 11.5 lm and 15.4 lm, respectively. required parameters, but no more. Koito WhiteBeam III - H4 headlight lamp, test DESIGN FEATURES The Koito White Beam III model belongs to lamps with the increased light output. According to the manufacturer, the high-temperature lamps of the White Beam series provide twice the brightness of the glow, while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. The glow temperature of the filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten filament of the lamp from burning out, the concentration and pressure (twice as high as in the standard one) of an inert gas are increased in the bulb. due to which Koito White Beam III lamps are absolutely safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. The electrical power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), and therefore the lamp does not emit excess heat (no more than standard lamps). Due to such technical innovations, the color temperature of the light has been increased to 4200K, which improves the driver's color perception. The lamps are sold in pairs in a transparent plastic package with a white label written in Japanese characters. The "loud" figures "135/125 W", as conceived by the manufacturer, mean an increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so they can be safely installed in a car. TEST RESULTS Measurement of electrical power consumption at a test voltage of 13.2 V showed that the Koito White Beam III lamp is fully within the parameters declared by European regulations and is completely safe for car wiring. . The luminous flux of the filament for both low beam and high beam is completely within the range established by GOST: 880 and 1440 lm, respectively. At the cut-off line, the Koito White Beam III halogen lamp showed good geometry, forming the correct beam. It was clearly seen that the color of the lamp goes into the cold part of the spectrum compared to standard halogens. With the naked eye, it was noticeable that in the area of illumination of the curb the brightness of the beam is higher than in the rest of the spatial distribution pattern. within the limits established for serial production. Measurements of the illumination value at the point 0-0 showed that the lamp complies with the requirements of GOST and will not blind the driver in front. With an illumination requirement of less than 0.7 lm, the illumination from the Koito White Beam III does not exceed 0.54 lm. The Koito White Beam III lamp illuminates the near curb area well (15.9 lm against the requirement for serial production of 9.6 lm), and the far curb area is also well illuminated (11.6 lm). Increased brightness in the curb area. Protection against glare from oncoming and passing vehicles. DISADVANTAGES All inscriptions on the label are in Japanese. In the electrical circuits of modern cars, different types of lighting devices are used. For headlights, these are mainly products with H4 and H7 sockets. The first modification of the lamps has a specific application, and the second (H2) is clearly outdated and, if it is found on sale, it is extremely rare, since it is practically discontinued.

This article will explain what is the difference between the lamps for cars of the fourth and seventh options, as well as which ones are better to use for dipped beam.

Both H4 and H7 are mostly halogen bulbs. Used in all cars for the organization of head lighting. Flasks are made of quartz glass, which allows you to level (eliminate) the effects of UV rays.

What are the design differences between H7 and H4 lamps

  • In the execution of the plinth.
  • In a resource. According to this indicator, H7 lamps are almost 2 times superior to analogues of the 4th series.
  • By the number of filaments. The H4 modification has two, the H7 has one.
  • The seventh product option is more often used in modern cars, with free-form headlights.

It is definitely impossible to answer the question which low beam lamps are better for cars. The selection criterion depends on many conditions, including the characteristics of the driver's vision. The following descriptions of lighting fixtures for H4 and H7 auto modifications will help you make the best purchase.

All indicated prices are in Russian rubles.

Plinth H4

An earlier modification compared to the H7, but it is used for cars, for obvious reasons, much more often. One of them is the ability to use the lamp for both high and low beams (2 strands).

The cheapest products of this series are made in the classic version., that is, they differ in averaged parameters, which makes them universal. These lamps are characterized by reliability, sufficient resource, while their cost is low, in the range of 510 - 980. The most famous H4 brands of this group of lighting fixtures are Mtf-Light (Longlife series), Philips Vision, Osram (Original Line ).

Lamps with high brightness. Against the background of all halogens for cars, they are distinguished by the maximum intensity of the luminous flux. Estimated price - from 840 to 960. Sold under the label "Philips X-Treme" (Vision series + 130%), "Osram" (Night Breaker), "Mtf-Light" (Argentum + 80%).

If the symbols “+ so much%” are present in the designation of the lamp, then this is it. For visually impaired people optimal choice. But it is worth considering that when installing such products, fine adjustment of the headlights is necessary. Not every car owner can do this on their own.

H4 with increased visual impact. The light is white or with a slight yellowish tint, depending on the manufacturer. We can distinguish products "Mtf-Light" (Titanium), "KOITO" (White Beam III), "Philips" (WhiteVision). The cost is from 910 to 1,015. According to experts, such modifications of the H4 tire the eyes much less.

Extended life lamps. For example, products of the Philips brand of the Long Life series have a fourfold excess in this parameter. For H4 "Osram" (Ultra Life) the MTBF is at least 2,000 hours. The price is in the range of 910 - 980. Taking into account the requirements of the traffic rules on the need to turn on the low beam even during the day, these lamps are worth paying attention to.

All-weather lamps. Provide both high and low beams. They are distinguished by the creation of a stream that gives the viewing area a greater contrast, which allows you to clearly see the track in fog, during heavy precipitation, and so on. These are primarily Osram (Fog Breaker), Mtf-Light (Aurum), Narva (Contrast+) lamps. The price range is more significant - from 598 to 925.

High power lamps. Somewhat more expensive - from 910 to 970. These include the Philips H4 Rally family member and the Osram-branded Offroad Super Bright. It is advisable to purchase such lamps for those car owners who often travel long distances. For example, those who like to travel by car. But the use of these products also has disadvantages. First of all, an increase in the load on the onboard electric / wiring of the car.

Therefore, when installing an H4 with increased power, it will be necessary to revise the entire circuit, and possibly its partial restoration. In addition, there is one more nuance - when operating a car in an urban environment, lamps of more than 60 W are prohibited.

Among this category of devices there are also more expensive samples. Their cost can reach 2,415 rubles. We are talking about bi-xenon lamps, which, in some respects, are superior to halogen ones. For example, Maxlux, MTF-Light and the cheapest Sho-Me lamp in this series, suitable for any (even old model) car. The price of the latter is at the level of 745 rubles.

Plinth H7

Products are more modern, therefore, not everyone has come across them in practice. Their conditional categorization is similar to the lamps of the H4 series. Therefore, it is advisable to note only a few points and list the most famous manufacturers.

Varieties of H7 lamps

  • Halogen. Plus - the cheapest modifications of this series. Minus - significant heating. As a result, an underestimated service life compared to analogues.
  • Xenon. Plus - increased light output. Cons - the need to attach a special version to the ignition unit; high price of lamps. It consists not only of the cost of the product itself, but also of additional components. In addition to the block, you will need the appropriate optics. Taking into account the total costs, installing xenon lamps will cost much more than other types of devices. Yes, and operation too. Increased power consumption is reflected in the intensity of the generator, which leads to an increase in fuel consumption.
  • LED. The advantages are well known - increased resource, economical power consumption from the on-board network. There is only one minus - the difficulty of adjustment when installed in the headlight. Only a professional or an experienced amateur, who is not purchasing for his car for the first time, can achieve the required parameters of the low beam beam. This is the main reason why LED designs have not yet become widespread in the automotive industry.

intermediate output

From the point of view of expediency and practicality, the best type of low beam lamps are halogen products. And for older models of cars, they are the only option.

Modifications H7

Halogen lamps

"Standard". The top sellers in this H7 series are "Philips" (Vision), "Mtf-Light" (Longlife Standard) and "Osram" (Original Line). Price - from 540 to 998.

With increased luminous flux. Philips (X-Treme Vision +130%), KOITO H7 (White Beam III), Osram (Night Breaker Unlimited) and a number of others. The cost of lamps is in the range of 720 - 1280.

With increased resource. These are, first of all, "Osram" (Ultra Life) and "Philips" (Long Life). Price range 950±50.

Lamps H7 xenon.
The flask of this product is from Philips. The color temperature is 4,300 0K, which is considered acceptable to our eyes. But the light, although soft, but not entirely natural, is white. The most expensive lamp of the entire H7 xenon series is about 1,798.

Maxlux H7. South Korean products are attractive not only for their price (945), but also for their large selection in terms of color temperature.

MTF-Light H7. The approximate cost is from 780 to 810. The peculiarity of this lamp is an increased resource. The manufacturer claims at least 2,100 hours of MTBF.

It depends on the correctness of their choice whether you can see a dangerous obstacle in time and whether you lose control of the car from the blinding headlights of an oncoming car. At the same time, unlike a number of other components, the choice of which by most car owners is at the mercy of servicemen, car lamps are a product that many drivers buy on their own. It is not easy to choose from the variety of lamps on the shelves those that are optimal in their characteristics.

Most of the leading manufacturers have in their assortment a complete line of lamps for various purposes. These are standard lamps, lamps of improved visual comfort, all-weather, high power and lamps with increased light output. In order to understand which of them will cope with their task and which will not, it is necessary to fully test the lamps for a number of key indicators: luminous intensity, geometry and, accordingly, illumination at certain points, and color temperature. If this is not possible, it remains to trust your own experience or trust the manufacturers' statements.

We decided to bring to your attention lamps with the most common base H4, and choose two types from the entire line - standard and lamps of increased visual comfort. The essence of the first follows from the name: these lamps are ordinary halogen incandescent lamps and are similar to those supplied to conveyors. The so-called white light of the second type of lamps is more comfortable for the eyes than the standard one. But when choosing such lamps, it is important to remember that in rainy weather, visibility with them is worse, since white light glares more strongly from wet surfaces and even from individual raindrops.

The question of choosing lamps for headlights should be acute for every driver. I do not need to explain the importance of high-quality headlights at night. It is the quality of the headlights that determines the range and clarity of the view on the road.

According to statistics, every fifth accident happens due to poor-quality road lighting.

Let's look at the ingredients of good night lighting:

  1. Headlight unit with high quality reflector and diffuser. On the VAZ 2114 and on other Samaras, such a unit is provided by Bosch. In comparison with the Kirzhach headlight, Bosch has a much better and more directional light beam ().
  2. Lamps used in headlights. It is about them that we will discuss in our article.
  3. Correct headlight adjustment. Good lamps and headlights will be completely useless if the light beam is directed into the sky or straight into the asphalt. To properly adjust the headlights, read the article:

Our vehicles use a h4 halogen bulb as headlights.

H4 is a halogen lamp with two filaments: for both low beam and high beam. But this is not enough. Today the market is full of lamps of this type, which have different characteristics, different gas composition, spiral, bulb, etc. Most lamps have a power of 60/55 W, which is considered optimal and is provided in every car. But there are also lamps with a power of 130/100 W, but such lamps usually have high temperature heating, as a result of which the headlight reflector and its wiring are burned, and oncoming cars are blinded, which is unacceptable.

Modifications of H4 halogen lamps

Below are the main categories of halogen lamps and lamp models that participated in the test:

  • standard car lamps;
  • extended life lamps (a subcategory of standard lamps);
  • lamps with enhanced luminous flux;
  • improved visual comfort lamps;
  • all-weather car lamps;
  • high power lamps.

Test of standard halogen lamps

The following lamp models took part in this test, which are available to every consumer: (OSRAM H4 Standard, OSRAM H4 [email protected], GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Standard, PHILIPS H4 Long Life, NARVA H4 Standard).

Far light. In the measurement of high beam headlights, the H4 model confidently won [email protected], which beat the results not only of its classmates, but also left aside some models of lamps with enhanced luminous flux. A GENERAL ELECTRIC lamp breathes in the back of our winner.

Near world. Based on the result of measuring the low beam of standard halogens, it can be seen that the leader of the high beam is OSRAM H4 [email protected] gives way to other competitors, but not significantly.

The weakest was the GENERAL ELECTRIC lamp, which lost in all respects.

Winner - OSRAM H4 [email protected]
Outsider - GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Standard.

Test lamps with enhanced luminous flux

Lamps with enhanced luminous flux - lamps that can give out much more light than standard ones. Typically, such lamps on the package have a flag “+30%”, “+50%”, etc. This line of halogen lamps is relevant for people with impaired vision.

The following lamp models took part in the test: OSRAM H4 Silverstar (+50%), GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Megalight Plus (+60%), PHILIPS H4 Premium (+30%), PHILIPS H4 Visionplus (+50%), NARVA H4 Range Power , HELLA H4 Light Power (+50%), IPF Super Low Beam.

Near world. Confident leadership was taken by the IPF lamp, but this is only because the low beam headlights have an increased power of up to 80W (high beam power is standard 60W). Only thanks to the increased power, this model came out ahead, but do not forget that the increased power negatively affects the reflector and wiring. The rest of the models are in the same category without clear leaders and outsiders.

Far light. When switching to high beam headlights, our low beam leader is simply blown away and unable to compete with anyone. Philips premium (+30%), an outsider of the low beam, took the lead in high beam headlights.

The winner is NARVA H4 Range Power, which showed excellent results in both operating modes, despite its relative cheapness compared to other models.

All-weather halogen lamp test

All-weather lamps on the flask have a special coating that gives the beam a yellow tint, which improves the contrast of lighting in bad weather conditions: rain, fog. The following lamp models participated in this test: PHILIPS H4 Weather Vision, NARVA H4 Azzurro, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 AllDay, IPF H4 Superbeam.

Far light. The best result in this category was provided by PHILIPS and GENERAL ELECTRIC lamps.
Near world. When switching to dipped headlights, Philips breaks into the lead.
The winner is PHILIPS H4 Weather Vision.

Test of halogen lamps for improved visual comfort

Lamps with improved visual comfort - lamps with bright white light. The bottom line is that lamps with white bright light are less tiring for the eyes, tk. as close to daytime as possible. Headlights look a bit like xenon lamps, while these lamps are optimal for long night trips.

But there is another side of these lamps - in rainy or foggy weather, the headlights reflect on the drops and blind the driver himself. The following lamp models participated in this test: PHILIPS H4 Blue Vision, NARVA H4 Range Power Blue, OSRAM H4 Cool Blue, XENOBRITE H4 Superwhite, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Superblue, IPF Gran Bluez Bulb, IPF White Max Neo Bulb.

Far light. OSRAM showed the best results in high beam mode.
Near world. In this category, NARVA took the lead. Both OSRAM and GENERAL ELECTRIC confidently lined up behind it.
The winner is NARVA H4 Range Power Blue, OSRAM H4 Cool Blue, GENERAL ELECTRIC H4 Superblue.

High power lamp test

These lamps are not designed to be installed in conventional headlights, but nevertheless, they are very popular among those who like to save money. Let's find out if they actually give more light than conventional lamps.

The lamps of the ZENON Power Gold, ZENON Plasma models participated in the test. Both models showed very poor results in high beam mode. When switching to low beam, the result did not change, which indicates the low quality of the lamp.

Avtosvet - autolamps increased brightness what to put?

as we all know, these foglights in older trim levels in auto mode illuminate the roadside for convenience, while smoothly turning on and off smoothly to save the lamp life. There is a standard H7 lamp - but there is little light from it and I started experimenting - I bought lamps with increased light output
philips extreme vision +130 H7 - the light is good, the car has clearly seen the light, despite the regular bi-xenon, the fog lights help a lot!
But bad luck 1 bulb burned out after 3 months - started to wonder why? - and that's why the spiral is smaller and thinner, and as it should be in the description of the manufacturers, the pressure of the inert gas is 2 times greater - that's why it shines. 2 months, so I set myself a bosch gigalight plus 120 h7 - I already dashed off 15,000 km, and 8 months.
The other day a friend came to FORD RANGER - he had a low beam philips extreme vision +130 H4, he had enough for 6 months, but he also wanted more, then he was given another option -
autoreal61.ru/market/avto...35_125w_lampy_halogennye/ , climbed into the Internet found tests on the cut-off line, and a small description that I attach to my photos, we will compare how long this Japanese miracle will last, since the price is not small! I didn’t find testing of bosch gigalight plus 120 h7 lamps on the Internet, I’m testing it on myself, while everything suits me in terms of luminous flux, I count the resource by km.

Description of the test from the Internet

Test of automotive lamps with increased light output

Here is an example of a standard traffic situation in which both drivers did not take care of traffic safety at night. The headlights of one do not illuminate the road well, and the headlights of the other blind oncoming drivers and also poorly illuminate the road.
We are sure that our readers are not so careless and do not want to get into a similar situation. To be prepared, you need to slightly modify your car by replacing the headlight bulbs before the winter season. To get more of the much-needed luminous flux will allow lamps of increased light output, the bright boxes of which flaunt on the windows of all car dealerships. But what to choose? Of the numbers on the packages that indicate an increase in light, “+ 30%” is almost the most modest. And so “+60%”, “+90%”, and some promise all “+100%” of light! Fantasy draws a road filled with bright light in the middle of the midnight darkness ...
The headlight with a lamp installed in it was placed in a dark room, where the cut-off line required by GOST was set at a distance of 25 m from the source.

Koito VWhite - H4 headlight lamp, test
Koito Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1915, the same year it released its first invention, used for signal lamps on railways, which improved the visibility of the tracks, which made it possible to improve the safety of both passengers and goods. This was the beginning of the development of Koito Corporation, specializing in the production of lighting products for various modes of transport. Now, one of the main activities of Koito is the production of automotive lamps and lighting systems. Today, Koito supplies all the largest Japanese automobile factories and is highly appreciated for its research and development. Successful testing of the company's products in the Paris-Dakar rally and other off-road competitions gives the company the basis to be called a leading manufacturer of automotive lamps and lighting systems.

DESIGN FEATURES
In addition to the standard ones, Koito's product range includes lamps with increased light output, which include the Koito White BEAM III H4 model. According to the manufacturer, the high-temperature lamps of the Koito White BEAM III series provide twice the brightness of the glow, while consuming the same amount of energy as conventional halogen lamps. This is achieved due to the fact that the glow temperature of the lamp filament is higher than in standard samples. To prevent the tungsten of the filament from burning out, the concentration of an inert gas is increased in the flask. At the same time, it is pumped into the lamp bulb at a pressure twice that of a standard lamp.
The lamp bulb has a blue tint, made of quartz glass - more refractory than usual, and filtering the ultraviolet part of the radiation, due to which Koito White BEAM III H4 lamps are absolutely safe for polycarbonate headlights of modern cars. Also, since the electric power of the lamp is standard (60/55 W), the lamp also does not emit excess heat - no more than a standard one. Due to such technical innovations, the color temperature of the light is increased to 4500K, which improves the color perception of the driver.
The llamas are sold in pairs in clear plastic packaging with a red label inscribed with Japanese characters. We want to warn readers right away that you should not be afraid of the declared power value of 135/125 W: with these figures, the manufacturer is trying to emphasize the increased light output of the lamps. Their electrical power is standard, so you can safely put them in a car.

TEST RESULTS
Measurement of the electrical power consumption at a test voltage of 13.2 V showed that the Koito White Beam III lamp fully fits into the parameters declared by European regulations and is completely safe for the car's electrical wiring. When the illumination requirement is less than 0.7 lm, the illumination from Koito White Beam III does not exceed 0.54 lm. the zone of the far curb is well illuminated (11.6 lm).

ADVANTAGES
Increased light output. Clear cut-off line. Protection against blinding of oncoming and passing vehicles.

LIMITATIONS
All labels are in Japanese.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT
The Koito White Beam III headlight lamps in the H4 base showed a good test result and deserve the attention of motorists.
